Are you looking for a ""neighborhood"" sports bar, with a great atmosphere and good beer selection? I found one on a Friday night in September and can't wait to go back! Lansdowne Road is a great new addition to the West Side that has plenty of bar space and restaurant seating. On this particular night, it was warm outside and the entire front of the bar opened up to the street - which lured me right in. To start, it was still early, so I took a chance at sampling the menu before jumping into the beer selection. To my delight, the food was surprisingly good for sports bar/pub far, as I went with the chicken wings and sliders (mini-burgers). Although I didnt have a chance to try them, there were several other things on the menu that I am saving for my next visit (Fish & Chips and Sheppards Pie).\r

Also, if you like watching sports on TV, this is your place. The entire bar is lined with at least a dozen, wide-screen, HDTV's. I like to watch multiple games at the same time, and the staff easily accommodated my request.\r

If you visit Lansdowne Road, be sure to take a close look at the bar, which includes some things I have never seen before. My favorites were the lighted ice rail (that you can set your drinks on to keep them cool) and beer taps that looked as though they were made from solid ice (don't ask me how they do that!).
