This place not only has incredible, homemade Serbian food, but a ton of charm and history. I've been going here for over 30 years, and it hasn't changed a bit. Still the same family making the same recipes, three generations now. And the portions are very large. Our favorites are sarma (stuffed cabbage), cevapcici (small hand rolled sausages), serbian salad (tomato, pepper, onion, and cheese), burek (filo dough filled with meat, spinach or cheese), and freshly made palacinka (crepes filled with preserves). The food is so high quality (they won a James Beard award a couple years ago), and the owner is a total character. He's about 80 years old, and is an ambassador for the city. Not to mention a great storyteller! Make a reservation, though, they fill up.
