I have been shopping the SF Jeremy's for years and have always respected their hands-off, but polite, style of customer service. Having never been to the Berkeley store, I decided to try it a few days ago. The selection of clothes was fine, but the staff was so rude I left without purchasing several items I had intended to buy. Each staff person at different times refused to answer a direct question, instead rudely gesturing or giving my friend (also a loyal jeremy's sf customer) and me dirty looks. When someone finally did answer a simple question, he acted as if I had put him out by asking. The whole thing was laughable and I smiled at the help's self-importance as I put my purchases back and left the store, but I will never be back to the Berkeley Jeremy's and would discourage anyone else from going there as well.
Pros: clothes are fine
Cons: help is rude
