Whenever Port Washington is mentioned, Newport Shores is not always the first restaurant identified with fish fries. However, it usually is the most crowded and for those who have frequented the area regularly Newport Shores clearly is the hands-down winner for quality. They offer a Fish Fry every day of the week, which is very unique. Plus they have a great variety from a traditional beer battered cod to Lake Perch to Tilapia and others. This restaurant is the most underrated places in Port Washington. The food quality is excellent, consistently great service and I've heard the steaks are awesome too.
PROS: Great value, Fish Fry everyday, unique selections
CONS: Very smokey dining room; I only do carry-out.
