OK, to be clear, the food and the extremely expensive drinks were not horrible, although Rich's dinner was way oversalted, a complaint you don't hear from him often! Our beef and pork entrees were competently prepared, but many items were skimpy and/or did not deliver what the menu promised. For example, Chris' ""compote"" consisted of 8 small bits of something or other, and our calimari starter had no hint of ginger flavor anywhere.
The biggest problem here was the service, which was literally the worst we've had in a long time. Just completely incompetent, and we had to ask repeatedly for EVERYTHING (including water and bread). They weren't that busy.
Chris liked the atmosphere OK, but considering the prices and the service, we would not recommend this establishment.
