I've eaten at most sushi places in the Chicago area, as well as many in Asia and other parts of the world. Kamehachi is OK sushi, but not great. The rice is not high quality sushi rice, the cuts of fish are not always the best, and the fish to rice ratio is heavy on the rice (i.e., not good ""Tokyo style"" sushi). The ambience and service are fine, however. The best sushi in the Chicago region is by far Sakuma's in Streamwood.
Pros: ambience, service, fresh
Cons: Poor sushi rice, skimpy fish
