I stayed here in early 2002 and found the room and setting to be great...although they neglected to tell us that the hotel facade was undergoing renovation and would be blocked by scaffolding.
More importantly, the touted breakfast bar was a total drag. The first morning they ran out of food way before the stated closing time. The second day they had food...but I learned that orange juice and all other drinks besides coffee were $5! On my last morning they physically stopped me from taking breakfast food back to my room, saying it was for my ""safety."" More like, they want you to pay for room service. Very nickle and dime attitude when you're spending $300 a nite.
Pros: Beautiful room
Cons: Bad staff attitude
