Cheesecake Factory is highly overrated. The french fries are thin, dried out slivers, and are sometimes burnt. The rest of the menu is pretentious, like ""garlic smashed potatoes"", etc., overpriced, and under par for the price level. Smashed potatoes have no place on a $20 plate! The cheesecake is good, but $7.00 a slice. You can pick up the entire Cheesecake Factory cheesecake at Sam's Club for about $12.00! Service, however, is usually very good, and generally much better than the food items with exotic-sounding names. But then again, we Americans always pay more attention to fluff than to substance. There are better choices downtown Indy, like ""Palomino"", etc., for the kind of money you may want to spend.
Pros: service, location, atmosphere
Cons: bad food preparation, grossly overpriced, fast-food quality
