The menu changes on a regular basis and offers something for everyone. They always carry one or two vegetarian options and pride themselves on using local grown ingredients. They always carry one or two poultry, meat and fish dishes as well. The key to white dog is their combination and how they accentuate so simple as chicken. The flavors are to die for. They have a bar area (with a simpler menu) and a sit-down dinner area. They also have private rooms for parties as large as twenty. They are pricey however, with their entrees costing between 12 and 20 dollars a piece. However, don't let the price stop you from having dessert: their classic creme brulee with a pup vanilla cookie is not to be missed or skipped.
They have a fine wine list and the ambience is great. The whole restaurant is nestled in an old brownstone building. Be prepared to make reservations (especially during Parents and Alumni weekends) as this is a local "fancy restaurant" favorite. Still, if you are in the area and looking for a quaint eating experience, White Dog is certainly your choice.
Also look to White Dog for their Fourth of July and block parties. For a set price, you get a buffet-like menu and usually dancing. They even close off the entire block for these types of parties!
