Went to Core-Care after recommended by friends to replace a broken hard drive. I was thrilled that it was ready in two days and thought everything was fine and dandy. When I went home I noticed my computer was running slow. I checked the system profiler and only one gig of ram was working and the other slot said empty. I opened the ram casing and the top ram chip was not even in the slot but just in place. I called the next day and left a voicemail. It was Friday so I thought I would give them till monday to return my call. Nothing. I called Monday afternoon and they said the upper ram slot maybe fried and I should bring it in to be checked for free. In the end I had a new hard drive but was given a computer with the ability to only perform at half the speed. I was hoping to get a couple more years out of her. They wanted me to pay $550 for a new circuit board and they would pay for the $75 ram. I was told by the front desk guy as well that the tech was new who worked on my computer. I felt ripped off. I never complain, never make a scene. Just wished they could have owned up to a mistake. JH more
