Made a Stressful Time More Stressful 6/13/2016

We are renters and our land lady, who we have rented from for 9 years, had to file an insurance claim for water damage to our home. This was the agency brought in. Initially, they were professional and responsive to our needs. They treated the initial water damage quickly. However, after ripping out our cabinets, and then ripping up our floors, we were left stranded for several weeks (partial service was completed and then halted while they waited on a check from insurance. I would have preferred they hadn't ripped apart our home while they waited.) Our cabinets were ordered the first week of May but it is now June 13th and they are in route to install them. We had tried making communication for the past two weeks, but Jason's phone's voicemail was always full and he never responded to texts or calls. When my husband called the office, he was treated poorly each time which led to him getting heated on the phone. After he hung up on them, I called back to smooth things over and was promptly hung up on. As a social worker, I am accustomed to dealing with difficult situations, but this was one of the worst business interactions of my life. I made sure my landlady was aware (as she also had difficulty getting in touch with them.) more
