In 2006 we moved into our "dream home" built by HiLine. There were many hiccups along the way -- the foundation had to be demolished and redone due to a "cold pour". The cement chunks were left under the house which makes it difficult to crawl under the house for inspections! We lived in our trailer on site as the house was being built.
As the sheetrock went up there was quite a bit of pencil drawn graffiti drawn on the sheetrock that was covered up with paint. Our roof underlayment was cheap fiber board which has begun falling apart -- the entire roof needs to be replaced!
HiLine sent an inspector out and he said at the time they built our house in Lewis County that was "code", but they no longer use that cheap fiber board. So -- since they built to code it is not their responsibility.
We did many "upgrades" in our home, but that doesn't seem to be adding to quality. The roofing we purchased was 30 year and has deteriorated after 9 years! As of today -- I am not pleased with HiLine Homes -- they do not stand by their product.
