I posted on Accent's site that I was interested in their services roughly 2 weeks ago. I got a response the next day by the very responsible-sounding, organized-seeming "Cheri" who manages Accent's "girls". She and I spoke about the full cleaning of a 900sq ft apartment which included 1 combo bath, a tiled kitchen and bathroom, and hardwood flooring throughout. I had asked after dish services and she said initially "yes, we would be happy to take care of that, too." I informed her that I have 2 cats and their boxes, if possible, would need scooping probably. All of this information went over smoothly and all seemed wonderful for my impending cleaning visit.
The day arrived. I arranged my schedule such that I could personally meet who would be cleaning and give her a tour. They were scheduled to arrive at 9am. 10am arrived and I finally heard a knock on the door. I greeted "Joy" and cordially invited her to come in. She met the kitties. She had a full look around and I explained what all was needed and re-hashed what I'd ordered with Cheri over the phone. I admit I'd been talking a mile a minute, so after all of that I asked if she had any questions. She replied in very broken English,"Car....phone?" and ran out to her vehicle. I figured she'd forgotten something, so I waited patiently for her return. She came back about 10mins latern explaining haltingly "No clean. Call Cheri" - or at least that's all I could make out. She gathered her supplies and left without a word.
I immediately called Cheri and asked after what had happened - I thought the poor girl had a personal emergency or something. Cheri informed me that she'd look into it at once.
I waited.
Finally I received a call back from Cheri explaining that this "Joy" had allegedly "nearly fainted" for the smell of my cat's boxes and could tell there were animals even before entering. She also claimed there was so much mold and filth that she didn't feel "safe" in my abode.
