It was a community before Greystar took over 7/11/2015

Oh, Have I missed the old 3001 Park Center Apartments. Sure, it was not a perfect, but it was leaps and bounds above what is currently called Avana Alexandria. First a little bit of a primer. We have lived here for almost 7 years made some great friends, had an awesome relationship with the building management, office and maintenance staff. We would often find ourselves on the patio area as a big group on the weekends sharing stories, drinks and meals. It was real sense of community of which no longer exists there. At the end of September, the building was sold to mega-apartment company Greystar. The new management had solicited our feedback as to what needed to be improved on the property through a paper survey. (From which we believe that nobody at the corporate or in the office ever paid any attention to.) Greystar moved an entirely new management team into the office, of which only one of them lives within the building. But through February of 2015 nothing if anything changed except for few minor things like new decals for the cars and less community events or brunches. At this time I could not recommend living here quality of the management and the facilities has deteriorated over the last eight months. Going from a community to a place where we are dreading as to what trivial charge or new project they are going to spring on us next. If you do stop in to visit, after your tour, ask current residents as how they feel about the current situation and I believe you find some of the same sentiment. more
