Dr. Hsue is a dishonest and patronizing human being. Run - don't walk away from this guy.
t had a really bad experience with Dr. Kuzi Hsue. I went to his former partner 2 years ago for a routine check-up, cleaning and a filling. I liked this guy and when, two weeks ago my filling cracked and fell out, I called the office to make an appointment to have it repaired, I discovered that Dr. Wilkinson was no longer at the practice. I was offered an appointment with Dr. Hsue and booked it. I was encouraged to have a new set of xrays and full exam done before fixing my broken tooth. I was then told by Dr. Hsue that I had thirteen cavities (which was shocking to me since two years before I was told, “If all my patients had teeth like yours, I would be out of business” by Dr. Wilkinson) and that he was able to fill 3 of them and repair my broken filling that day. I asked him to show me where all of these cavities were on the xray and was, rudely, told that cavities can not always be seen on xrays and that it was his job, as a doctor, to make sure that I had the procedures I needed to ensure oral health. Despite my intuition telling me to run, I let him do the work. Before I left the office, he gave me a plan of treatment that included 3 additional visits to repair the rest of my cavities. All of which, by the way, would be almost the exact cap of my insurance coverage.
The work he did felt wrong (I was in pain for several weeks afterwards while I waited for an appointment with another dentist) and everything in my head was telling me that not only did I not need any additional work, that I probably didn’t need 3/4ths of the work he had just done.
I was right. The new dentist (he had been working on my family members for many, many years and I had only not gone to him originally because he lives over an hour away) confirmed that my teeth were cavity-free and ended up repairing the work Dr. Hsue did.
Run, as fast as you can away from this quack. Dr. Hsue doesn't deserve to practice dentistry.
