I first started taking my kitties to Dr. Zollars in Feburary 2009 and have had nothing but the best care from him for the animals. He has such a good bedside manner (for lack of a better phrase) with the animals. I called one night as an emergency and he was more than happy to take care of my cat and keep him overnight. Also, my girl cat had eclampsyia after having her babies and I had no idea what was wrong with her. I was crying my eyes out on the phone and Dr. Zollars was able to calm me down and assure me that she would be okay after a couple days away from the babies. Every single time I go there I am so impressed and constantly give references to him to my customers at my store in Ottawa. We've been through a few vets in the past few years and none of them have lasted or showed that they really cared about my animals as he does. more

No emergency services 3/18/2006

Dr. Zollars advertises 24 hour emergency services in the newspaper almost every week, and in the yellow pages. So when I had a very, very serious emergency late at night with my pet, I phoned Dr. Zollars on his emergency phone number. He did call back, but then told me that my emergency was a bigger problem than he "cared to handle so late in the night". I was left to drive into Aurora to the nearest REAL emergency vet, which nearly cost my pet's life. So apparently Dr. Zollars might be interested in putting in a stitch or two at night, if it does not inconvenience him and he can charge you an ER fee, but he does not want to deal with actual emergencies. Shameful. more
