Zocalo's has been open for about one year and quickly achieved its spot as a midtown favorite (IMHO). Service is very good, the ambiance is terrific -- beautiful example of adaptive reuse of an old building (and the bathrooms are pretty cool too!). It can get a little loud as Zocalo has become a popular spot on the night scene -- the long bar w/ several flat screen tvs make it very popular on game nights. Food is more "authentic" to an area of Mexico (can't remember the region) than the typical Americanized Mexican food. My favorite are the tacos -- they're mini and you make them right at your table! Chips and salsa are excellent.
