We ordered one pizza from Zip's Wiseguys last night after being out. It was one of the only places open after midnight. We ordered the pizza at 1:03am and were told it would be one hour. At 2:17am, we still had not recieved the pizza and called to see what was going on. The man on the phone said the delivery guy was out with four pizzas and ours was third on the list. Just matter of fact, no apologies or thank you for our order. The pizza arrived 10 minutes later (1:24 after being ordered). It was cold AND the box was squished so that all of the cheese was stuck to the top of the box. Cold dough was all we got. We had already paid the delivery guy before seeing the food, and we were too tired to call. We were unwilling to wait another hour for a better pizza anyway, and just ate the outer rim of the pizza. I called them to complain about noon today. I spoke with Tanya. Initially, she said I had to call back when the manager from the previous night could speak to me. She said they had a strict policy that people had to complain upon receipt of the order. She claimed if we ate it, we had to pay for it. Finally, she said if I drove over and returned the uneaten portion, she would credit us for that portion. No apology that the food was late, that it was cold, or that it was ruined. \r
I rarely call to complain about things or send my order back at a restaurant, but this was a big problem. If the food had just been late, then I wouldn't really care. If it had been on time, but cold, OK. But late, cold, and stuck to the top of the box - I want at least an apology. Likely another pizza at some point. But, alas, no. Since I could not resolve the issue with the restaurant, I disputed the charge on my credit card. I took photos of the pizza and pictures of my call list and times on my cell phone to prove all my calls to resolve the problem, etc. We'll see what happens.
Pros: open late
Cons: slow service, horrible customer service
