One of those places that you have to try if you've just moved to Jefferson City, or if you are just passing through. Zesto has been around for what seems like forever, considering that the well over 50 crowd went there when they were kids! You can get that chocolate dipped cone that will be so big you wondered why you ordered a large except that it was such a great price. You can get that mix and match personal choice of shake, and then for "dessert", have that turkey sandwich or the BBQ beef. more

Ice cream on a hot day 7/21/2005

You are driving into Jefferson City from the Lake of the Ozarks and it's been a long hot day. You could really use a pick me up. Zesto isn't the fanciest ice cream shop around, but it does have the best home town soft ice cream you can find anywhere in the midwest. You can get a small dip cone for just $1.09, or you can get any kind of milkshake or sundae, just pick a flavor or two off their menu board and mix them up. My favorite is the chocolate strawberry marshmallow sundae, although I do like those frozen cappuccinos. more
