BEST indian food in NYC 7/29/2010

This restaurant makes the best Indian food in New York! I used to order from this restaurant at least twice a week for about 2 months straight; I was addicted :) Their food is always fresh. When they deliver, they package everything so neat and sturdy. They wrap the plates with utensils all together with a plastic wrap so it doesn't fall out. There is also 3 different types of sauces they give in your delivery with your meal. I like that they aren't cheap. It's always the same great service. I became such a fan, so I finally decided to write a review! I recommend the Chicken tikka masala and their onion nans. Pros: delicious; always fresh; great service Cons: A little on the expensive side more

Love the food and decor 12/9/2009

Yuva is located on a street lined with Indian restaurants. I have been there a couple of times. They have a lot of variety in their menu, and I love their dry bhindi/okra entree. I have never come across a single Indian restaurant in the city that makes this style of okra. Its crispy, tasty, spicey, and reminds me of my mom's cooking. It is dry, though, and hard to eat with either rice or bread. Its best eaten by itself. On the flip side, the okra is fried so not very healthy. Their paneer dishes and bread is also awesome. The food is delicious but a tad pricey. Its my new favorite in the city! Pros: Awesome food and decor Cons: Pricey more

THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN TOWN 10/7/2009

I am very happy with the restaurant's staff and the food they serve. The staff are friendly and good service. The food is simply awesome. The price of the food is good with that kind of delicious dishes and excellent service. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and new people in town. I would definitely bring my friends here again and again. Pros: Good service, friendly staff, good food more

best buffet 2/24/2009

Yuva has one of the best buffets in the city...the variety and freshness of the food is really good. Pros: food and variety more

Rocking Indian Restaurant 2/17/2009

We went to Yuva on Valentines Day, it was really good, I've never had such innovative Indian food before. Try the Baigan Bhartha for example mind blowing presentation. Service was pampering they really took good care of us. The place was completely packed that night which added to the energy of the place, I give it 5 STARS. Pros: innovative Cons: it can get loud more

TOO MUCH HYPE 2/16/2009

I read all these nice reviews about Yuva. so i decided to give it a shot. I usually dine at Dawat which is only a few doors done. anyway we arrived at Yuva as a party of 4. It took them 10 mins to seat us and the place was not that bussy at all. anyway when we were seated it was in a tight corner. The place looks nice but looks can be deceiving. \r \r The service is very slow. took them forever to bring our drinks, appz, main course.and check\r the food is way to hyped. HORRIBLE....COLD...AND DEFF NOT WORTH THE PRICE.\r Manager was verry rude and was rushing us out.\r YUVA is deff out of the picture for me.\r \r Cons: everything more

Excellent 2/11/2009

I never knew Indian Kebabs were soo good we used to go Turkish Restaurants for Kebabs, Yuva has the best kebabs in New York City. Lamb Chops literally melts in your mouth along with the Hariyali Kebab. Pros: kebabs Cons: long wait on weekends more

Fantastic job! 1/30/2009

We are from London and were visiting here, we had heard about this restaurant in London, so we had planned to give it a try, and I am so glad, we did. This place serves authentic Indian food with a perfect balance of spices, the meats are fresh and delicately cooked to perfection. My personal favorites, you have to try are chapli kabobs, biriyani, chicken molee & family naan. We will always stop by Yuva for our Indian craving on our trips henceforth. more

must dine here 1/20/2009

Yuva was truly a joyfull experience. I live in California and tried many Indian restaurants. The ambiance and the food are outstanding. This is one of my best experiences in New York City. No doubt a must visit in New York City. Pros: food and service Cons: small more

best indian food in nyc 1/15/2009

MORE THAN THE USUAL INDIAN CUISINE 11/24/2008

Not your usual Indian cuisine, the food here is as good if not better than the best neighborhood Indian restaurants, with a more varied menu than most thanks to its extensive selection of dishes from the hinterlands. Nicely designed setting borders on the romantic, and the service is impeccable. If you're in the mood to explore great Indian cuisine in a refined setting, this is the place for you. Pros: Menu, ambiance, service more

Just fantastic Indian cuisine! 10/13/2008

My girlfriend and I love coming here. Polite staff, delicious food, good ambience and if they keep this combo up, we'll keep coming back again and again. I love their curries, their dipping sauces, and the dish preparations. Any lassi one can choose tastes great to me as well. I'm not much of a dessert fan after dinner, but the complimentary pudding they present after the meal tastes good, too. All in all, it's just comforting to go to a restaurant and know you're going to have a great meal, and that's more than enough. Pros: Love their sauces! more

valentines special 2/26/2008

The best Indian in the city hands down. Amazing food is an understatement, chicken molee and goan shrimp are must. Service attentive and caring. Pros: food more

What a Delight ! 2/13/2008

Yuva is an excellent restaurant. Their food is superb, and the service is very attentive. Everything I have had here has been outstanding, especially the fish dishes. Yuva is unique in that, unlike many Indian restaurants, they have a decent dessert menu. Pros: Food more

Worst Service I have ever experienced 2/7/2008

We have ordered and eaten at all of the Indian places on this street, and decided to try the last one, Yuva. Well it was not good. It took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. When we called to find out where the food was, the woman hung up on my wife. Once we got the food, it was cold, the bread was soggy, and totally not worth it. There are plenty of Indian places on this street to order from or eat at. With such options, stay away from Yuva. \r Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

Great 11/22/2007

We had lots of fun at Yuva last week. Everything was perfect. The open kitchen is really interesting you see the clay ovens and get a chance to see how the breads and meats are made. Highly recommended Pros: food more

Super cocktails n best Indian food 8/13/2007

Last friday we had this amazzing special watermelon martini here at yuva, had to share with all you viewers here, it was just fantastic, I downed four of them. The dinner followed delicious food from the frontiers of India, we loved every bite of it. \r This place provides a perfect ambiance, welcoming service and deliciously fresh Indian food, we love hanging out here with friends or even with dates. sometimes a few dishes take a longer then usual, but then you know for sure that everything you eat is gonna be freshly made from the scratch, which is why we find it totally worth the wait. We go here very often and if we cant, we just order in. Pros: Fresh food Cons: sometimes a little wait more

Awesome dinner 8/9/2007

I went with my friends, we had one of the best meals last night at Yuva. We were treated very well, be it our cocktails or the food, the flavors in the curries were just perfect, the breads were fresh and crisp. The kababs were juicy and melted in the mouth. We had a great time last night. I will be going back for more food & fun. more
