best chinese food I have ever tasted! I love that you can watch the chefs cook, and they even put on a noodle show on thursdays. Pros: null Cons: null

Food is ok, service stinks, servers are rude, slow, not nice at all, owner appears to be the same. more

Okay Mandarin Place 5/1/2006

I go here on occassion for lunch. It is not on the top of my lists for my favorite spot to get a good meal. During lunch, parking is hard to find, there are long waits, and the service is a bit on the rude side. The meals are okay here. I find them to be very greasy and not in a good way because I feel that all I am tasting is grease. But they do have some good egg rolls. Also, they have good smoothies here. The pricing for lunch is on the cheaper side so I never feel bad about not getting a really great meal here. more

Excellent Chinese Cuisine 4/4/2006

One of my favourite places to get Chinese food from is Yus Mandarin in Schaumburg, IL. The food is excellent, served in extremely large portions (enough to feed at least a couple of people), the restaurant itself clean and ambient, the servers friendly and fast. My only complaint is that the wait times can sometimes be outrageous, going in excess of over an hour for lunch or on weekends. The place serves great food, which is apparent from the amount of people that go there for meals. more

They make their own noddle. 3/20/2006

Sometimes they demonstrate the noddle making, and you can see them preparing your food as they have an open kitchen. Other that home made noddle, I do not see anything else special from this restaurant. The home made it self is good, but when they mix it with other ingredient, it will only be average food. They have big portion maybe trying to compensate their "just average" food. more

Good Food 2/20/2006

This is a great little spot to get some good chinese/mandarin food. There are absolutely no frills here. But you do get really good food here. It is always fresh and everything I have tried always tastes great too. I enjoy my meals here all the time because of the good food and the casual atmosphere. The service here is good too; the waiters are quick and they are friendly and prompt. They do not take reservations here. more

Mandarin food 1/14/2006

This is a great option for a quick lunch. They have some great lunch deals and the best thing is that most of them are priced at only around 5 dollars per meal. The food is okay, nothing that makes it super spectacular or one of a kind, but their pricing and their fast service definitely make it a good option for a reasonable lunch. One thing about this place is that it gets really crowded between 11:30 and 12:30, so try to go before or after this time to avoid the rush and long wait times. more

Great Family Style 12/11/2005

This restaurant not only has great prices but it can be considered family style. The dishes range from $7-$15 and are huge portions. They are great for sharing and passing around the table. more

Good Chinese Food 11/28/2005

Yu's is a great Chinese Resturant. I particularly like their Noodle dishes as it reminds me of when I use to live in China for 2 years for work. The only downside is sometimes there is a long wait and the food can bee too greasy but other than that there is a ton of flavor and you know if there is many Asians who go there, this is very good. more

The best Chinese restaurant 8/8/2005

If you want terrific Chinese food in a nice setting, Yu's Mandarin is the place to go. Allow yourself plenty of time on weekends as the wait time can be excessive (1 hour+). Once you're seated, take a look through the huge, clear glass at the staff cooking away in the kitchen and watch for the flames that light up every once in a while. As for the food, there's plenty on the menu to choose from but I would have to recommend the princess prawns for you shrimp fans. The atmosphere is energetic and friendly, perfect for dinner out with your significant other or with a group of friends. more

Excellent Chinese Dining Experience 7/28/2005

This is a great chinese restaurant to visit. The ambiance is very clean and spacious. The place is big enough to host big parties. The food is delicious and they have a wide variety of menu items to choose from. I recommend the noodle dishes since this is what they are known for. They handmake all their noodles and you can watch them do this or you can watch the chefs cook behind a glass window. more

Great Food! 7/20/2005

Yu's Mandarin is a very reasonably priced restraunt. They have great food and really speedy service. The portions are really big as well. The restraunt does get crowded though around lunch time, so make sure to make reservations or arrive early! They can also make dishes more or less spicy, just ask the server, and you'll get it made exactly the way you want it! Don't miss this one! more
