On business trip in Denton and after finding this Greek restaurant named Yummy's on CitySearch, decided to give it a try. It's located in the University area off the main drag. It's a little hard to find because it is tucked in the corner between another small business and a big Blockbuster store. Walking in, the atmosphere is very casual and very ""University"". Posters of Greece on the walls and dark wood tables. Looks like a place frequented mostly by the neighborhood locals and university kids. Menus are under clear plastic on the table tops. It appears that English is not the native tongue of the employees because I asked two female workers for a beer/wine menu and it wasn't clear what I wanted until a young male came over. Everyone was friendly though. I was surprised that they do not serve any beer or wine but I was told I could bring my own next time. I ordered the Humus Supreme with sirloin and a small Greek salad. The salad was good but nothing extraordinary. I was a little surprised when the Humus came out and the ""sirloin"" was ground beef on top. Guess I had a different picture in my mind. Humus tasted good though. The pita bread came in a red plastic French fry basket but there was lots. Payment is done at the cash register. All in all the food was good and the workers friendly. To me it is a classic University restaurant tailored to the neighborhood it is in.
Pros: good food, friendly workers
Cons: no alcohol served
