Pros and Cons 2/11/2007

This gym has great hours (24/7/365) and nice equipment. However, there are a number of issues that should make someone think twice before joining this gym. They include: 1) The gym is extremely over-crowded from about 4 to 9 P.M.; 2) The management is minimally responsive to member feed back (at best); 3) The gym has a towel service that is extremely unreliable; 4) There is insufficient locker space (members frequently have to wait in the locker room for one to open up); 5) Maintenance of locker rooms is problematic; 6) Broken equipment needs to be repaired more expeditiously; and 7) and some employees need work on their customer relationship skills. more

my gym 5/14/2006

This is probably the most affordable gym in the city. You really can't beat its price and all that you get for a small membership fee. You get to use all their great machines and their weight rooms. The place does get a bit crowded, but the wait times for the machines, if there is any, is never too long. You can even get a personal trainer for a little bit of extra money. And what's even better is that you membership price include parking!! You really can't beat the bargain you get at this great gym (and its located in various spots around the city too!). more

Not impressed 3/16/2006

I looked on their website and saw that they offer a free 3-day pass to use the gym. So I went in and asked about it - they tried to tell me guest passes are $20 a day. Um, I don't think so. Then they told me well, if you use a free pass, you can't get a discount on a membership when (if) you sign up. They try to get you to sign up right away and then take $60 (the price of 3 days, supposedly) off the price. No way. I just want to try out the gym, I said. Well then they take you on a super long tour when in reality it's just a gym - it's pretty easy to figure out where everything is. Once the sales guy found out I wasn't going to be signing up, like, right then he lost all his enthusiasm and acted like kind of a jerk. Right, like that's going to really make me want to sign up. Plus the gym was crowded and the people seemed stuck up, so I don't think I'll be trading in my Bally's membership any time soon. more
