I first visited X-treme when it first opened and because the management there had offered free services to the place I was working at. My first service was a facial. I was not offered a robe, not instructed to remove my shirt, but rather was just told to lay down on the table so the technician could begin. The room was freezing and I was never offered any covering as is customary at other salons or spas when receiving a facial. The whole experience was so awkward. The next time I visited the salon (over a year later) was because I received a half-off postcard for a pedicure (normally priced at $40- the offer was for $20). Thinking that my first experience was ""just a fluke"" I decided to go in. Bad idea. I'm fairly certain that the ""nail tech"" just woke up one morning and decided that she didn't like her last job waitressing, and wanted to do nails instead. She was completely unprepared for my appointment and had to get up at least 6 times to get the needed utensils from elsewhere in the salon. She looked sloppy, and nothing like I would expect someone working in the beauty industry to look like. The entire pedicure was nothing short of a nightmare. She cut my toes with the cuticle remover. And start to finish, it took her an hour and a half! Meanwhile, the rest of the staff is milling about, carrying on in conversations and activities as though I (a guest!) was not present. I was almost convinced I was on some sort of candid camera show. Needless to say, I couldn't leave fast enough and will NEVER go back there again.
Cons: Unprofessional service, sloppy job
