drastically downhill 9/14/2011

Same ownership but a change in name and menu. Very limited selection now. No dim sum. Food is OK although pretty expensive and the service is atrocious. In no way comparable to the Wong's King on Division. This branch used to have a similar menu and, while not quite as good as the Division location, was still worth a visit. But not anymore. more

Avoid at all costs 9/9/2011

This place is a disaster. Over priced bad food with worse service. Do go to the Division location as it is the best Chinese food in town. Notice that the reviews about a buffet are a different restaurant that was at this location previously. more

Bumpy experience 7/19/2011

Great interior... poor service.. questionable food. Service level is lacking -- took a long time to figure out the procedure for their dim sum. Only one cart for the entire dining room -- the rest has to be ordered. It took us over 20 minutes to get menus -- totally ignored. Food was lacking.. nothing special. Staff needs much more training to make it an enjoyable experience. Very disappointing --will go to China Town Restaurant next time. At least it FEELS like the real thing. more

Kidin' me? 3/27/2011

This really is the wong place to go. We sat and waited for ever for our appetizer that never showed up. They we're more worried about feeding themselves than us, there were at least 14 of them sitting down to feed themselves. We told them that we had waited for a long time, and there was literally no one left in the restaurant. So sorry was the weak reply as we finished our beers and left, never to return again. more

worst chinese food in the city 9/18/2009

so little 12/10/2008

There is very few selections at this buffet. If you really want great food, you should go to the chinese restaurant next door, Golden Crown. It has great food there and the portion is big. more

Best Chinese Buffet 12/26/2007

China Moon has the freshest and largest selection of Chinese food I've ever seen. We go once a month and are always pleased with the quality. All you can eat soup, clams, mussels, shrimp, and chinese dishes for $10. Seafood restaurants are a complete ripoff when compared to the selection here. Their soups are always hot and tasty. We love that there is a side of green onions so you can add it on to your soup. The environment is clean and someone is always there to pick up old dishes. Lots of choices for the kids too, like chicken, fries, noodles and rice. They also have a small sushi selection. We always go for dinner on busy nights when they bring out food often and it is never left sitting there. Also a separate buffet isle with tasty vegetarian dishes. Some of my favorites: Stir fried tofu, hot and sour soup, chicken wings, shrimp with vegetables, and mongolian chicken. Definately give it a try with your family, you will never be disappointed! Pros: Quality food with fair prices, great service Cons: Sometimes they run out of dishes and need to be notified to bring more more

Great buffet-style Chinese food 1/17/2004

I went to this restaurant for the first time tonight and was highly impressed. The selection was HUGE (even non-Chinese-food fans can find a few things to enjoy), including desserts-- and I hadn't realized that it was a buffet. And of course, as with most buffets, the value was incredible! The food wasn't superb, but it was on par with your standard family-style Chinese restaurant, except possibly the fried rice. Definitely recommend this-- I got a full meal and then some for $10.25! Pros: Not crowded, Inexpensive, Easy to get to on bus Cons: Food not spectacular more

I just went here last night and I was expecting a little bit more in terms of quality of food. Overall, the food experience was good and I would highly recommend the honey roasted pork! The pot stickers and egg rolls aren't that good, but there are some other dishes that hit the spot. Great place for buffet style meals and the server was constantly filling up our water and taking away our old plates. I think the place is worth a try for under $10! Pros: Good service, Decent chinese food, Great value Cons: Sticky floors, Not the best quality more

Pretty good! 5/26/2003

My husband and I like the place. Great value and plenty of choices if you're not sure what you want. Loved the teriyaki chicken and green beans. Buffet extraordinaire! more

Great value, above avg. preperation 5/7/2003

Overall: This is a welcome step up from the typical Chinese buffet line. You can also order off the menu. Food: A wide selection with a different serving area for vegetarian food. Stay away from the snow crab legs - dried out, small, and salty. There are many dishes available that I would not usually order off the menu. Going to Asian restaurants is ideal with a large group and serving family style. This is ideal if you are in a small group, allowing a wide variety. The food is replenished with quantities appropriate for how busy they are, avoiding 4 hour old vegetables. Service: Attentive, quick, and friendly. Price: Great value at under $10 Pros: variety, service, clean Cons: average atmosphere more

Better than Average 4/15/2003

After a few visits to El Cheapo Chinese Buffets, it was good to see that not all Chinese restaurants use undistinguishable food ingredients. The restaurant's pretty large to accommodate virtually any size group. The foods were well organized and in clean manner. However, most food were not hot enough and some were down right cold (which should not be). The shrimp was virtually impossible to peel off because they were stuck and broke off easily. I did like their lightly battered and fried vegetables and seafood. The water was frequently replenished and the used plates were promptly cleared. Pros: Good selection, cleanliness Cons: luke warm food more
