Please run the other way! This practice only delivers at Summerville Medical which is a low budget outdated facility which is under construction. I've gone to Summerville Medical three times and the third was my last. I made it all the way to the delivery floor without so much of a question from any of the staff. The Labor and Delivery tour had us all walking through hanging plastic and knocked out walls only to come to extremely small rooms with out dated medical equipment. I went to Women's Health Partners for an appointment as my arm went numb from the shoulder down I was turfed over to Summerville Medical because high risk patients can only see MD's and none of them take afternoon appointments lol how convenient. I was told to report to their extended department and upon check in as usual the staff were rude and refused to allow me on the prenatal ward as I was instructed and sent me over to the ER section where the staff sent me back to try and check in with OB. Once there again she sent me back to ER saying no OB staff were on call at the time (lucky I wasn't in labor) and that I would have to go to ER. Once back at ER side the gentleman was upset at my return and barked at the volunteer to just put me back in room #21. There was blood on the floor from a previous patient the bed was wet soaking through the sheets and the vital tech demanded I sit there for vitals when I thought the chair I had chosen served the same purpose (she didn't win that battle). The Nurses behind the counter within ear shot were excited for the weekend so I was entertained at their conversation of how she needed a firmer buttock and how 2 glasses of wine and shot of Tequila would help her through her shift. Needless to say I am so done I'm transferring to MUSC which by the way I still cant make an appointment with them because after 2 weeks since my last appointment with Women's Health Partners they have not transferred my care or records although they dropped me out of their system for transfer. So I am 34 weeks pregnant without medical care due to the incompetent staff assigned to this facility. Please I would hire a midwife or my Home Economic Teacher from 10 years ago in High School to deliver my child before I leave it up to them or Summerville Medical. more

Worse place ever!!! I had only been seeing them for two years and since I have pcos I have to go in every year to get my prescriptions refilled but they decided to bill my insurance as a physical since that's what ""they"" made my appt for instead of just a reevaluation for my prescription and my insurance doesn't pay for physicals! And since I didn't have one done I called and asked for them to re-code it and they refuse to since my appt was scheduled for a physical! I will never go back nor recommend them to anyone! more

TERRIBLE! This is the worse Ob-gyn I have ever been to. I am 5months pregnant with my second child and have been to this office over 10 times just for this pregnancy. I have had multiple miscarriages perviously. In my 10 visits I have YET to actually see a DOCTOR. Every appointment I am there for at least 2 hours. A typical wait period before being called back for vitals is at least an hour. Then you wait another hour in your room on the midwife or PA (of course never a doctor!) Yet if u are 16 mins late you have to reschedule an your appointment and are charged 25$. What a lack of respect for your time! My biggest issue is trying to schedule an appointment for a sonogram. I have been having cramping and called to have a sonogram just to confirm that everything is okay and I am transferred from one person to another and then told I will be called back from there medical assistant. I never received the call back. Now my last appointment I told the midwife about my cramping and he response was ""oh there are numerous different reasons you could be cramping"" I am at the point now where I am looking for a new OB-GYN office. I would never recommend this practice to anyone. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! more

TERRIBLE! Had to reschedule first appointment (that I already had to wait over a month for!) because of schedule conflicts. They rescheduled me for 3 weeks out and I missed the appointment by 15 mins and was told that their policy states that if you ""miss your first appointment"" they could not schedule me another. Couldn't believe how rude they were! I'll take my money elsewhere! more

Please DO NOT GO HERE!\r 1. They do not respect your time. I am pregnant and instead of scheduling a midwife chat, ultra sound and Doc Appointment in the same day. They wanted to me to come in for 3 separate appointments. (they do not tell you this until you get there for your first appointment, they gave me the impression I was seeing a doc).\r I chatting with other expecting mothers and this is not normal protocol. Have an appointment for all 3 at the same time this friday at a different doc. \r 2. They sent me a bill for almost $300 for chatting with a midwife who was very young and her answer to most of my questions was.. I am not sure or we do not give advice on this (basic questions such as exercise). \r I called and they did not even attempt to run it though my insurance.\r They care about making lots of appointments to get money and not about your care.\r \r more

Terrible customer service. I have been a long time patient at WHP and only visit once a year for my annuals. I don't know if they are under new management or what but I am very disappointed and will not be going back. I would advise any of you who are looking for an OBGYN to take your money and your time elsewhere. I called about a month ago and easily got an appointment on October 1st. I ended up with strep throat and could not come in on this day. I called to cancel and could not reach anyone and left a message that I would not be there. I called today to reschedule my appointment and was told that I was ""banned"" from being seen at Women's Health Partners because I ""no showed"" in 2009 and again on October 1st 2012. What kind of policy is this, especially when I left a message to cancel my appt on 10/1? I miss 2 appointments over a 3 year span and you ""ban"" me? Don't waste your time here. You will sit in the waiting area for at least 25 minutes only to be received by rude assistants. And God forbid something come up and you can't make your appointment. Your privileges to be a patient here will be revoked if you don't cancel within 24 hours. You think you'll be dealing with professional people, but they act like it's a nail salon. Very disappointed. more

I just called to make an appt because I got a CT Scan yesterday and they found Fibroids. I explained that I am in SEVERE pain. The earliest I can be seen? 3 weeks. Why, because I would be considered a new patient. No, they can't get me in sooner. No, they can't make an exception. What happened to customer service?? By reading some of the past reviews, I'm sure they have cancellations! more

Great Office! 12/10/2009

I have been with WHP for over 4 years. They have helped me through the discovery of pre-cancerous cells all the way through the birth of my son. I have met with all the doctors as well as both NP/PA's. All of them are caring and competent the whole way. The office staff is friendly and very good at their jobs. I was impressed by the rotation through the doctors and NP/PA's during my pregnancy so I would be able to meet all before delivery so I would know the doctor on call at the time of birth. They are FANTASTIC. Through pre-cancerous cells, miscarriages and infertility they have been with us the whole way! Pros: Knowledgeable staff & very skilled doctors more

I switched to this OB as a recommendation. Horrible mistake. I am now five months pregnant....have not met a physician yet only a nurse each visit. Your asked if you have any questions and tossed out what kind of prenatal care is this place dishing out? I requested a doctor for a sick visit and was denied. I switched to East Cooper women's Cons: Not personal at all more

Uncaring Health Care 10/30/2008

Would not recommend the practice at all. Managed by a hot head female administrator that has not concern for patients medical needs. This firm has poor management. We had to reschedule appointments due to sick children and was told we were no longer welcome as patients. On the other side of the coin, we had several appointments canceled by that firm due to other patient emergencies quite often. When I questioned administrator about this she hung up on me and refused to take my calls after that. Let me warn you - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Pros: In Summerville Cons: Poor Managment with inconsistent policies more
