Best Cheesesteak & Hot Wings Ever 6/29/2004

Fills a void in NYC - the best, most authentic cheesesteak I have ever tasted. Wings are among the best in the city - a lot of meat on the bones, and they are not shy about the sauce. The Parmesean wings are different and excellent, too, and taste as if you are eating, well, chicken parmesean. Best place to get an authentic cheesesteak in NYC. Go for the steaks . . . stay and have some $3 drafts until the wee hours of the morning! Pros: inexpensive, fun crowd, friendly service more

Wogie's 6/3/2004

I like this spot having now been there twice. Had the cheesesteak both times and it's a good one. The atmosphere is laid back and informal and I liked the minimalist decor and set-up. The waitresses and bartenders were friendly. My biggest complaint is that while I'm a big fan of keeping it simple, the menu could use a little more variation for those that don't want to eat unhealthy. Other than that I like this spot as a good starting off point for a night in the West Village as it's never too crowded to accomodate all and it's very reasonable. We showed up late thursday night, snagged a great table outside, the restaurant was packed, the food was AMAZING and so fast! Plus our waitress was soooo sweet that we all but had her sit down and have a beer with us. Overall, a great experience with the perfect cheesesteak, no less...
