Willow Creek

During the end of July, I start getting weird bites well it s the summer I thought, must be mosquitoes. Around the same time, I received a letter on my door around Aug 10th that mentioned the complex would be undergoing a quick evaluation through the units to check for bed bugs. At that time it occurred to me that the bites may not be just mosquitoes, so I put the notice near the door and asked that whoever checked the unit to sign once the inspection was complete. The notice remained unsigned.\r On Aug. 24th I contacted the front office and left a message asking if the inspection was ever done. On Aug. 25th I sent an email asking if the inspection was ever done. Later that day I received an email stating that yes, the pest control professional has been in your apartment yesterday. [Apparently entering without my knowledge.] He did not find any live bed bugs, but he did find the dead one and the evidence that the apartment has had them in the past. I have lived here for several years now and I love it! I think moving here was the best decision for us. I love the building with all it's amenities. There is a lot to do in winter (swimming pool, free movies for rent in the office, pool table in the party room and now even a personal trainer in the exercise room) I forgot what Lifetime membership is! I also love the people here. In the office as well as my neighbors. I have lived here long enough to have conflicts with both and every time we came to a mutual understanding. I like the new manager a little better - she will actually work with you to find a resolution for any problem that arises.We moved here because my husband worked in the area and if we'll move out it will be only into our own house. I think you are getting a great value for your money considering that the complex is in western suburbs.As I said I love it! more

I moved into Willow Creek and it was the biggest mistake I have every made. Two words. BED BUGS! Yes, they have a bed bug infestation and they are disgusting and they bite. I had to throw away all of my furniture because it got infested with bed bugs and they are next to impossible to get rid of. My car window was broken in the underground parking garage on Christmas Eve and my car was not the only one and according to the police this is not that uncommon at this complex. There are surveillance cameras in the garage but guess what, they DON'T RECORD???? Rude and disrespectful staff in the office. Noisy smelly hallways and very noisy inconsiderate residents, and if you live near the laundry room forget about any peace and quiet ever! Please run don't walk away from Willow Creek, it will be the best decision you ever make. more

I know that this is a rating system and you don't know me, but I will list the problems that I have had living at this complex.\r First, our electricty/lights went out at least 10 times and the problem was not fixed until the 5th request. Not only did they not fix the problem but they also blamed us for it when many times we would wake up from sleeping and would have no electricity. The showers go extremely hot and cold with no warning. Our upstairs neighbors are VERY loud and when we complained about them the office stated "That can't be them. She works in the office" and after complaining so many times with no action taken we have stopped or find other places to stay the night. Another problem is that we had roaches in our apartment, made a call to the manager, was told it would be taken care of that day and it is about 3 weeks later - no one has been here. Large complex, apartments are well kept and maintenance is very good. Gigantic indoor pool and whirlpool area feels like a resort in the middle of winter. Almost enough parking outside, well ventilated underground garage. Big indoor waiting area so your guests dont have to stand in the cold waiting to be buzzed in (can be connected to cell phones in other area codes). Appliances new and up to date. Management staff no nonsense for the most part. Can use credit card to pay for laundry. Fairly quiet, nice decks and pond area along the creek. Close to movie theater, and small tasteful strip mall, chinese food, and liquor store. more
