Phoebe's is a popular neighborhood hangout that has breakfast and lunch. Local art hangs on the walls. It's a comfortable and homey place. The coffee is very strong, not for everyone, but it does the job. The food there is pretty good. It's kind of plain food served in a gourmet fashion. The prices are pretty high, about $9 for breakfast. The homemade bread is exceptional. The muffins are good too. The people who work there are friendly. There is a garden as well as indoor tables and a counter.
I wish Phoebe's had a more extensive menu, it is very limited. Most people go for the casual atmosphere. If you like a place with a lot of twentysomethings in trucker hats, with loud music blasting, then go to Phoebe's.
