St Luke's William Penn Family Practice

My daughter was referred to a specialist by her pcp at William Penn Family Practice. As soon as I made the appointment I called WPFP for a referral to be faxed over, and I was assured that it would be done. A month went by, and three days prior to the specialist appt, I got a call from the specialist's office that they never received a referral. I called WPFP and requested the referral again. Three days later, I took my daughter to her spec. appointment and when we arrived there we were told that they still never received the referral and they would not see my daughter without it! I called WPFP right away and told the receptionist to fax over the referral IMMEDIATELY and the response I got was ""I'll fax it over when I get around to it. All of the other office workers called in sick today and I'm the only one here."" We waited and waited and no fax. Finally I was told that the only way they would see my daughter was if I signed a waiver form stating that I would pay for the appointment out of pocket because they never sent the referral! We already waited a month for that appointment and I wasn't about to reschedule it, so I had no choice but to sign the form and pay. Pros: great doctors Cons: horrible office staff more

I ordered my sons records to be transferred to his new doctor august of last year and nothing!! they are so hard to get a hold of, their hours of operation are wacky!!! the doc is very nice but he needs new staff and office manager as they are very unorganized!! The doctor is nice and understanding....but the receptionists are lacking...never get a call back...did not know how to get to location (She did not even know the building next to her was L&D Automotive.....right next door!) Pros: Doctor Cons: Staff more

This doctor is very intelligent, and personable but it's more than obvious that he overbooks because I had an appointment for my 1 1/2 year old son at 5 pm and weren't seen until 7 pm. I've tried to call and schedule appointments and get referrals, and I'm put on hold for at least 15 minutes. I never get a call back when I leave a message. The receptionists are not at all friendly. Out of necessity this is my son's doctor, but I will defiinitely soon find a place that is a little more considerate in general with everything. Pros: friendly doctor Cons: everything else--waiting time, reception, and consideration. more
