I go to Wilkes Meat Market weekly to take advantage of their weekly specials. My family can tell the difference between the fresh cuts at Wilkes and supermarket cuts. There IS a difference. I just won't buy meat at the grocery store anymore. My peeps turn their noses up.
Wilkes sausage is their special blend of spices and is a fav in our house. A MUST try. It's the perfect breakfast sausage. Another must (and My personal favorite) is their mozzarella chicken breast. It's a plump chicken breast, stuffed with a slice of mozzarella, wrapped in a thick slice of bacon and seasoned with Wilkes signature seasoning. To die for! Pop it in the oven and WOW.
I stock up on their frozen veggies in the freezer located right in front of the cash register. By buying a big bag, I can cook only as much as I need so I cut my waste out completely. Typically there is corn, okra, black eyed peas, green beans and also french fries. However, there are fresh veggies, too like sweet potatoes, baking potatoes, onions, asparagus and mushrooms.
My experience at Wilkes is always top notch. I'm greeted by a friendly group in a family atmosphere. I've never had a bad experience but I suspect, if I ever do, they'll make it right.
Get on their email mailing list to receive notices of their weekly specials. It's worth it!
