My Favorite Spot 6/30/2010

This is one of my intown faves! I'm on a budget so am always looking for good value and this place delivers on that! I love the supper club feel, the professional class of servers, the music, everything! As for food value, my splurge is the Macadamia Crusted Halibut - awesome! In-between, there''s the mushroom crusted pork chops, wow. and the burger is one of the best in town, especially for the price. Try it on the onion roll, excellent. I have so many favorite foods here, it's always a pleasure.\r Pros: Atmosphere, Food, more

Mediocre Food at best 6/27/2010

I've been to Wildfire several times and have yet to be impressed with the food-- I'd say the quality ranges from poor to mediocre. Another turnoff about this place is that the carpet in the dining room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. There's also a vaguely stale fishy smell throughout the restaurant that is not very appetizing. Pros: Good service Cons: Overpriced for the portion size and quality more

Way Overated 8/2/2009

The food is awful. they are too over priced for the quality of food they serve. We tried their French Dip Sandwich which is rated one of the best in atlanta and it is not good at all. Very upsetting feel like I wasted my money Cons: Aweful Food more

Great Meal 2/11/2009

Had dinner last night with a new employee and family. The people at this restaurant was a joy to deal with. The food was also delightful. Please try if your in the area. Pros: Service was wonderful Cons: non more

Waste of time and money!! 3/14/2008

I went there yesterday with my wife and was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a $30 charred ribeye, medium rare and my wife ordered the 3 different sauce crusted fillets special which also was $30. The crusted sauces were salty and dry and the fillet itself was tasteless and overcooked. My ribeye was beyond charred to burnt! I had to keeping drinking water to get the bitter burnt taste out of my mouth!\r \r I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was ok but the kitchen needs to pay attention to the food!\r \r I hate writing such bad reviews but I would have had much better steaks at the Outback. Pros: Good atmosphere, Easy to get to Cons: Food does not live up to price at all! more

My favorite new restaurant... can't wait to come back! 11/16/2007

Saw Wildfire during a trip to Perimeter Mall and had to stop and check out the menu. Wow! So much to choose from... salads, sandwiches, steaks - oh my! Had lunch there with a friend the following weekend - she had the Chopped Salad and I had the Tenderloin and Blue Cheese Salad (as tempting as their Burger of the Day sounded.) Loved the atmosphere with the black and white pictures and supper club feel of the large leather booths. Can't wait to go back for dinner and try one of their fun martinis and a crusted filet. Server was very personable and knowledgable about the menu. While waiting for my friend, also saw information out about their banquet space, and wish I had a party to plan so that my friends and family coul check out this great new restaurant. Don't know if I'll be able to make another trip by Perimeter Mall without stopping by Wildfire! Pros: Food, Service, Decor, Menu Variety, Location Cons: Portions are HUGE (not always a bad thing, though) more

Food Factory ... not for real diners 11/4/2007

This has to be the worst over priced steak house in Atlanta let alone Dunwoody. We like trying new places and the location is good. When we first walked in it looked nice for a large chain restaurant. But that was the only good quality. We were seated and before we could pick up the menu we were being read the specials. Slow down cowboy, how about a cocktail. We then ordered a very nice bottle of wine Two Hands Angel Share (way over priced, at least $15 higher than other restaurants that have this fine wine). Our server knew nothing about the wine. I guess he was used to selling cokes. When he brought the bottle he did allow a taste as he rested the bottle on the glass. The he proceeded to pick up the glasses as he poured like he was measuring. We laughed as we never saw that done. Our soups were fine, but nothing special. Had the tomato and red onion salad that was very poorly done. My friend ordered a filet medium and it came very rare. I wanted a simple strip steak and our server kept pushing the spiced strip special. I told him I like the taste of a good steak and he said just try this I know you will like it. So I did and ordered medium rare and it came medium well. I tasted it and the spice was so much that is all I could taste. So I asked for just a plain steak and this time medium rare and my partner said how about cooking mine just a bit more. My partners came back totally dried out and well done and I mine was still cold. We barely ate them and just asked for togo boxes. No manager came over, no offer to buy a dessert nothing. It was like they just did not care. I have now seen other similar reviews so at least now I know it is the restaurant. They need a MAJOR upgrade in service and food quality. Pros: good location Cons: Food, service, over priced for quality more

wasted money 10/1/2007

This was our 1st and last visit ; the restaurants website is very misleading. I took my wife and her parents here for dinner, her parents are from NY and are saavy to the 40's and supper clubs. They never commented on those features of 'wildfire' as the website advertises. They did play jazz ,if you could hear it over the rest of the activities. My $30 steak was overcooked , my wifes $30 filet was dry & tastless, my mother-in-laws baby-backs were charred, but my father-in-law said his prime rib was good ? Dessert was edible. Longhorns has better steaks , not a place to impress or celebrate. The service was, just good . \r Verdict : $150 in the wind Pros: They take reservations Cons: overpriced food & misleading website more

Totally Disappointed! 9/20/2007

What a disappointing experience! For dinner we were seated on the patio which was very nice. We ordered a bottle of expensive wine only to be served dirty wine glasses which had to be sent back not once, but twice. Clearly, the server was not trained on how to pour and serve the wine or clean a wine glass. He kept forgetting little things and then when we asked another server she didn't speak English and only nodded, therefore, we had to wait even longer for our request to be filled. Both the fish and steak were overdone. Everyone on the patio was complaining about the service and food. To top it off the restrooms are back by the grilling area where you actually walk by the grill/food service area. When I was walking by, the chef was in a yelling match with one of the wait staff. How unprofessional! Atlanta has too many other enjoyable dining establishments for me to even consider going back to eat. However, the bar area had a good crowd and the service was very good as we had a cocktail before dinner. Pros: Nice atmosphere and patio area Cons: Service and Food more

booo! :( 8/28/2007

How do you get away with asking for reservations when the family being seated in front of you was wearing sandals and khakis? Evidently, name yourself, ""Wildifre"" and charge $27 for a steak and one side\r \r I went to dinner to celebrate my mother-in-law's, sister-in-law's, and my birthday and I'll list the following catastrophic events for review:\r \r 1. MANAGER spills 4 of 6 dinner plates onto the floor after serving only 2.\r 2. MANGER then says, ""oh, damn,"" and walks off while the tray hits me in the back of the head.\r 3. Servers come clean the mess and he comes back to apologize and offer free desserts. Fair Enough.\r 4. Check is presented and we are charged for gratuity for all items, even the desserts offered on the house.\r \r To be fair, I explained to the manager that we should not be responsible for the whole gratuity since he was the one who spilled his server's dinners all over the floor and should therefore compensate the server himself and he removed the gratuity from the desserts and took off our 2 after-dinner coffees ($11.00) I will not be back. Pros: Seating for large parties Cons: Ambience is spoiled by people being allowed to dress over casually...ESPECIALLY for the price! more

Bad food and wine 7/26/2007

Wildfire is like any other chain restaurant. It caters to the mall crowd (if you know what I mean). We had gone there after work as a group and ordered some appetizers and wine to begin our course. The wine list was mediocre and too expensive for the offering. The appetizers were ok and not too bad. The main course consisted of steaks and seafood. The steaks were improperly done and the seafood was not fresh.\r Overall the service was good but the food was bad. more

Awful service, Steaks all cooked incorrectly 6/28/2007

I have to start by saying that I have been to Wildfire before and had a wonderful time. Last night was not that night. I booked a reservation for myself and 5 coworkers. We work for a Fortune 5 company and are not strangers to eating out, especially at pricey restaurants. \r First of all our waiter was less than enthusiastic about anything. In fact he acted as though he would rather be sticking needles in his eyes than serving us. We ordered a bottle of red wine and quickly said ""You better bring 2"" to which our waiter responded ""Ill bring 1 to get you started and well go from there"". Who does that? Doesnt he WANT us to drink 2 bottles of wine? Inevitably that lead to us having to wait about 15 minutes for a new bottle once all of our glassed were empty. (He also never came back to pour more or check on us until our food arrived.)\r And then our food arrived! 5 out of 6 of us ordered steaks and 3 of us had to send them back. Mind you I almost NEVER send food back, esp when Im dining with coworkers. But, I ordered my $30 filet med/rare and it was WELL DONE! Yuck. Even the person who ordered theirs med/med well sent it back for being over cooked. \r The manager did come over to apologize and offer us free desserts but at that point we didnt much care. Very disappointing night, especially sine I am the one who recommended and booked this restaurant. I doubt I will return. more

Bad service, ok food 6/26/2007

Very disappointing! I had horrible service from a guy who didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Not what I expected from a $120 meal for 3. The wine flights were nice so you could taste 4 and were a good price. The steak was not good.If you are going to get one you must butterfly it (ruins a steak) because it is as high as it is wide and the texture changes throughout the steak. The ""special"" toppings were not good either. Who who ruin a perfectly good steak with horseradish ? I guess they would. Pros: Music that you can only hear if you are away from the kitchen Cons: service, price more

Nice but not that exciting 6/5/2007

The artichoke and spinach fondue was really good. I had a terrific salad with dried cherries and goat cheese and horseradish crusted clams, which were just okay, let's just say there was too much horseradish crust and not enough clam. My husband did enjoy his filet trio. The server was efficient and seemed nice enough, although when we stood up to leave she was at the table and did not say thank you or good night. Despite that, the food was good. Pros: good food Cons: shaky service more

Lunch or happy hour only 4/16/2007

I thought the steaks were terrible. The rest of the food is pretty good but the beef is not. I think this is a great place to have lunch or a light dinner but not a steak. Cutest thing they have is the martini flight. It's very cheesy so you could definitely take kids here they would probably love it. Pros: bar, salads, appetizers Cons: expensive, steaks were not that great, $6 valet?! more

Incredible steaks and terrific service 4/1/2007

We were thrilled to discover Wildfire at the Perimeter Mall in Atlanta and it is our new favorite restaurant. From our first step into the warm, clubby interior, we knew we were in for a first-class dining experience. The service--from hosts to wait staff and valets--was attentive and helpful. The menu features steaks and wood-fired grilled entrees. The filet mignon with blue cheese crust is now my favorite meal and my husband adored his baby back ribs. The martini and wine lists are impressive, and my husband is finally able to get a martini made exactly the way he wants it. We were immediately impressed with the warm mini-loaves of bread brought to our table. We ordered the Wildfire chopped salad to start, and were advised to share--a good tip since we still ended up with some to take home! Our meal was served quickly, and when we told our server we were trying to get to a movie, she made sure that we had everything taken care of without ever feeling rushed through the meal--we even had time to share a warm apple crumble for dessert. We could not have had a better dining experience and we've now been back twice with the same results. Cheers to Wildfire! Pros: Amazing food and great service more

Great for a night out with the girls, a date or with the family! 4/1/2007

Great ambiance, delicious steak and fish with large portions! The decor is beautiful and clubby with cool jazz music. I've been in three times already with friends, my husband and my family and we have always had excellent and attentive service-very friendly. Try the cedar planked salmon or the filet trio with your choice of crusts, I have the horseradish, blue cheese and parmesan crust- yummy! Also try the wild raspberry martini- it's my favorite! Overall, I think it's a great value for the service, ambiance and quality food. Enjoy! Pros: food, service, family friendly and easy parking more

Great steaks with a good kid menu too. 3/28/2007

My family and I recently visted Wildfire a new steakhouse out by thr Permiter Mall. When we got there we were a little worried that it was too ""fancy"" for our kids (11 months and 6 years). We were suprised to discover that they had quite an extensive kids menu ( they had the mac-n-cheese and chicken fingers that all kids menus have but they also had ribs and even a kids fillet mignon meal) and were more than happy to accomodate us. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and both of our steaks were cooked perfectly. Try the bacon wrapped fillet with a horseradish crust. It was great. My wife and I are going to go back on our own to try out some the martinis they make there but we will probebly be back with the kids too. Pros: Great steaks with some creative preperations, good wine list, great kids menu, friendly staff more

great new restaurant 1/17/2007

The waiter is very resourceful\r great atmosphere, martinis galore\r great tasting dishes and huge yummy desserts - must try the apple crumble pie\r expecially for the picky palate!! Pros: ample parking, the rest rooms are nice and clean. Cons: long wait to be seated more
