poor staff choices 12/12/2014

Loved this place and have been going for years until i was told last week when calling to bring my cat in that myself and my boyfriend weren't welcome anymore. Apparently they hired back for a FOURTH time my boyfriends ex wife (of 7 years) , she answered the phone and told me we had to find a different vet because it was a "conflict" so disappointed that they'd allow staff like this in their building to turn away loyal customers who been going there for years.. more

Death of our four legged family member 7/29/2014

Dr. Widay communicated to me that she was familiar with toy puppies. I believed her. She said our 8 mo.old, almost 2lb yorkie needed to be spayed for her sake later on. I told her I was skeptical of surgery, rabies vaccine, any "procedure" because she was so tiny. Dr. Widay insisted that it was ok. She also said that pulling her baby teeth because her permanent teeth were coming in,was necessary. I believed her. She said she would do both procedures at one time. After, our puppy was over medicated - with narcotics and her sugar went down to 34. After speaking with several vets they all related the same information. Not good to spay a toy puppy under one year their immune system is late kicking in. Never do two procedures at the same time on a small dog - really not even big dogs; the anesthesia keeps them out too long. Always give 10 days of antibiotics prior to the surgery and 10 days after the surgery. Always be sure of the amount of anything given to a tiny 1lb 14oz puppy. Our very special and totally healthy puppy died two weeks after surgery. She really never bounced back. I called Dr. Widay who never said I am sorry. And when I said "Please don't ever tell any customer that you know little dogs because you don't". She simply said: "I am going to hang up now - goodbye". There are not so many tiny dogs in the world - I explained my fears to her from the very beginning. She said she knew how to take care of them but Vets need to be careful of what they say. So few of these tiny pups - send them to a Vet who really knows them - She was only interested in how much money she was making and they took that quickly enough. Never said anything about offering my money back - or for that matter, as one of many breeders of tiny dogs said, she should have refunded the cost of the puppy! I bought a healthy, happy puppy - smart, energetic, loving - should never have died! Her cost and I would have paid it ten times over - $4500.00. And Dr. Widay took my little love and my money without a second thought. more

MRAH response to The Gray Stray Kitten 2/19/2011

The donation jar is for the stray program run by MRAH. This program has treated, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and found homes for literally thousands of animals over the last 20 years. It would be a pretty sad office party given that the jar takes in about 10.00 a week. The stray program is funded by the animal hospital for the most part. Having said that, we regret any bad experience you may have had due to miscommunication or misunderstanding and invite you to contact management for resolution, as it is our goal to provide the best care for your pet and the best experience for the owner. more

I have a stray cat im trying to take care of till i find the owner i called the office to find out how much a office visit and a fel leukemia and Fil aids test would be i was quoted a price i could afford so i made a app for the next day i showed up with the cat and they tryed to charge me three time what i was quoted over the phone so i could only afford the blood test because i couldnt afford the exam i told them she was a stray and was just trying to take care of her but that didnt seem to matter to anyone ((( The funny or not so funny thing about this place is They Have A Big Donation Jar to fix and help stray cats in the lobby full of money i guess the really use that cash for there office party!!))) (LOL) but i will get some one to take a look at her and maybe get her fixed after a few more pay checks , I Would Stay Clear of This Place No Compassion Here Just Money Hungry People more

Awesome vets! 8/11/2005

This is a very small practice with 3 Vets. The Vets, and their entire staff are so welcoming and friendly. They take their time with your animals and never make you feel rushed. The place is very clean. They also have a boarding kennel next door as well as a grooming salon. more
