Seattle WF regional ops takes employees and customers to the cleaners. I've been trying to adjust to how the WF does business here versus the Atlantic seaboard. There, you get what you pay for. Here you pay the same and get crap. Here's what resulted in me leaving my cart and walking out today. I won't return, I've given them 9 months of chances:
1) No organic red/yellow/orange peppers - there were more than 3 varieties on the floor!
2) When asking fish counter guy if there was any fresh and wild atlantic salmon and other types of fish he mouthed off and said ""No, and everyone knows it's all farm-raised now even if it says wild.""
3) I grabbed a container of roasted red peppers in their deli containers. Then I grabbed a container of roasted tomatoes and was really surprised to see they were nearly twice as much as the peppers, despite the pricing being the same. The weight on the container seemed wrong. So I grabbed another container of tomatoes and went over to the scales and yes, the weight was completely off.
4) It appears they repackage other companies nut mixes into their own deli containers so that they don't have to provide nutritional content for salt, calories, etc.
5) When having the deli slice meat it looked like they were trying to shovel snow the way they had to push the slicer. I asked about the blades (again) and they said that the store won't have them replaced or sharpened.
6) I finally asked to speak with a customer service manager on the floor. The guy at the cheese counter called and there was an immediate answer. After 6 mins the person still hadn't showed so I removed my purse and left the cart with my buffalo meet and loads of other booshy food and left.
This place isn't a haven for anyone, not even veggies who expect their fruit and vegetables to taste like actually fruit and veggies and to be organic. It appears whole food purposefully arranges their selection in a way to make it look organic, or grass fed, etc.
This store is so corporate now that it's adopting the same unethical practices the stores before it did, but while taking more money from customers. But, it's not like this in several of their other markets, where you get pasture fed (no corn) eggs, sashimi at the sushi bar because the fish doesn't have to be hidden with rice and sauce, adequate staffing to serve you, sharp equipment, staff that don't lip off -- or fight behind the counter, and so on.
