White House takes you back to a simpler time in our history and it's a journey I like to take-- a lot. The service is incredibly friendly and the food always hits the spot. This place is great on Saturday mornings. The staff is so sweet to the kids, and their pancakes and sausage breakfast is reason alone to wake up before noon on the weekend. more

Just made a quick run to my Dentist this morning in Buckhead, and did a quick dash into the White House. No President-Bush does not live here. This little hole-in-the-wall is just a Buckhead institution for breakfast. Where else can you get pancakes, omelette's, and homemade biscuit's made with love. The Greek family who owns this little place, is loved by everyone. And the crusty waitresses are a hoot. Not many of these Mom & Pop places left in the big city. I'm from north GA and each time I come into the city, I make it a point to eat at White House. I am the ""out-of-towner"" and am recognized each time I come in. I love the friendliness of the folks that work there. The Greek owners have a charm and appreciation that I don't find a lot. The service is consistent each time. The food is out of this world. If there for breakfast, I order grits, eggs, and bacon. SO GOOD! If they were any better I'd think I was eating at my grandmother's. Breakfast also includes a bread and a slice of honeydew. For later in the day I usually order the gyro or the burger. Both great. I've had a few other things as well that were also fine. Sunday mornings are nice as well, they'll even give you the AJC. The omelette was tasty, the biscuits were cold, and the grits were watery (and had a hair in it). Service was decent. Ambience was sterile diner. more
