Editorial review from Citysearch 7/14/2013

It's too bad Dizzie Lizzie signed up 7 years ago. And hasn't returned, I assume. Being a neighbor of WFF, I appreciate the care they take to maintain the neighborhood and feed us, too. Nothing beats WFF carryout when you are hungry at suppertime - except on Mondays and during the month of January. A dinner typically lasts for two meals. Bring the out-of-town guests! more

We have been going to the White Fence 5/4/2012

We have been going to the White Fence Farm since the 1970's when it was known as Wilson's. After taking our parents and kids there, we now host our grandkids to the treat that is WFF. We like the down-home cooking, old fashioned and hearty. The kids especially love the corn fritters! Before and after our meal, we enjoy the landscaped grounds, animals, the indoor kid's play area upstairs and the carriage rides. Nostalgic.. more

Why does this review keep getting 3/25/2012

Why does this review keep getting deleted? Curious. Here it is for the 3rd time: Took a friend and her husband for her birthday because we heard it was the best fried chicken in town. It's decorated like a Kansas old folks home, the waitstaff is dressed like the cast of Hee Haw, unattended children are poking at animals trapped in cages outside (the ""petting zoo"") and the food is terrible. Kidney beans floating in ranch dressing is a side dish? The chicken dinner was a big plate of extra greasy, fried chicken skin, slimy in some places, with very little meat. We were repulsed. I paid extra for a birthday cake as a surprise which they also ruined. The icing was crunchy because granulated sugar was used instead of powdered- DUH- and the cake was dry and flavorless saw dust. The only thing worth eating here are the outstanding corn fritters. Everything is overpriced for what you are served or altogether inedible. Taking KFC to a park would be a much better plan for your wallet, stomach and family. more

White Fence Farm not only has the best 2/23/2012

White Fence Farm not only has the best chicken in Denver, but some of the best in the West. The food and service are great, and the pet zoo is great for kids. more

Outstanding Institution/Average Food 11/19/2011

This place is unique and interesting - and fun for a family. Kids will love all the outdoor stuff - pond, petting zoo and small game room. The grounds are nice and White Fence Farm scores high marks for this. Service is outstanding, if not borderline freaky in a Stepford Wives sort of way. So with all this going on, we were very disappointed with their signature dish ""Fried Chicken"", it was small and not very tasty... not sure what the rave is about, you'd fair better at Teds or the like for about the same price. But if grandchildren are the priority or you're hosting out of town guests who don't have a developed palate, this is your place. You'll leave happy and feel like you had an ""experience."" (Upgraded our rating to 3 stars based solely on the grounds.) Adults will feel more like cattle going to feed than customers. But the food is very average, if not below average. I more
