This bar always seemed expensive to me when I lived in Philadelphia, but since going out in New York a lot, it doesn't seem so bad. The drinks are more expensive than other places in Philadelhia, by tthe place is very clean and quit, with polite patrons and a charming staff. When some friends and I showed up late on a Saturday night, they opened up the dining room so that we could all have a table together instead of crowding around the bar. The drinks are named on canine themes, in keeping with the name of the cafe. The food, as little as I've had there, is also terrific.
