We recently worked with Western Fence out of Murray and had a beautiful ornamental fence installed with arched gates and I can?t begin to tell you how beautiful it turned out. more

Wow, My fence is beautiful. This company was courteous and the best price from all the bids we received. It took a little longer than I was quoted by some other companies, but I figured you always have to wait when you want the best. more

I don't even know where to begin. Western Fence didn't have the lowest bid, but they did promise our new gate could be installed in one day. This was critical because as a business, our gate secures a great deal of customer-owned merchandise, and we couldn't risk leaving it open overnight. We chose Western Fence based on their promise to install in one day. We received a bid from Western Fence on August 10, 2012. About a month after signing the contract and paying the deposit, two employees came and took down our old gate, installed new posts, and packed up their things to leave. Good thing I speak Spanish, because I was able to talk with them and explain that the job was supposed to be finished that day. They said it was impossible because the concrete had to harden at least overnight. They then used two wire ties to jerry-rig our old gate panels into a more-or-less upright position over the entrance so it would look secure, and assured me they would come to finish the job the next day. A couple of weeks went by with no contact from the company. We called numerous times but were never given a date for the job completion. We left multiple messages with the business owner but he (to this date) has never returned a single phone call. Finally I threatened to file a chargeback on them if they didn't come and finish. We were going out of town for a few days (which we had told them numerous times) and couldn't risk having our property unsecured during that time. They sent out a couple of welders (not installers) to finish the job late that afternoon. I had to stay late after work to accommodate them, but at least they got it together enough to lock it up. They did tell me that they had basically jerry-rigged some aspects of it due to not having the correct parts on their truck, so we agreed that they could send some real installers out after my vacation to finish the job. That was the middle of October. On 10/18 they charged us for the remainder of the contract, even though I made it clear to them that the job was incomplete. Now another month has passed and the job is still not right. The gate jams up and doesn't close smoothly. I have been told that this is because the right parts are no longer being made, and that the way they improvised it is the best they can do. Representatives from Western Fence have made lots of excuses, but they've made very little effort to actually fix things. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. more

Wow, next time I will read reviews about a company before I use them, but I would concur, poor customer service, they took my deposit, and then could not deliver on their work. more

I would NEVER do business with this company. 3 months and job is still incomplete. Salesman is no longer there and the owner Jayson McLaughlin is as unprofessional as they come. He does not know the first thing about customer service. Our fence does not completely close in our yard and they are blaming it on the sales person not properly measuring it. We paid more money than other bids. Do NOT use this group! more

Our fence was just completed last week. We had some problems with the salesman (no longer employed w/ Western Fence), but the owner made everything right, and we are extremely pleased with the finished product. more

My fence looks great! I have had many compliments on it. Max and Kamren did an excellent job in getting my fence to the finished product. The installers Chad and Brad were also great to work with and very professional. I am excited to have it finished. more

We live in American Fork and recently had Western Fence install a tan vinyl fence for us. We had gotten a couple bids and Western was the most competitive, so we went with them. more

Had a complicated job that they completed with expertise. Highly recommend them more

Terrible customer service! After taking our deposit, it was nearly impossible to get a call back. Our multiple voicemails went unreturned. When we called to complain, they were rude and wouldn't listen. They didn't stick to timelines we were told and didn't show when expected. We didn't know what was going to be done or when and couldn't get a call back for the information. We didn't feel valued as a customer at all. more

Unprofessional and Untrustworthy Working with Western Fence was a nightmare. I signed a contract for $5,418 to provide powder-coated chain link and ornamental iron fencing with $2,709 down on Nov. 14, 2011. My credit card was charged on Nov. 16, 2011. it is now Jan. 17, 2012 and the only work they have done is to install and cement 19 fence posts. For over eight weeks I have not been able to let my animals outside. When I call to talk to the salesperson or someone in charge, no one ever called back. When I finally did reach them, I was fed every excuse in the book for the delay: workers don't show up to work, the powder coating company is late, our crews are working out of state, we are finishing up a major commercial job, etc., etc., etc. When they did arrive after 5 weeks to install the posts, they sent two guys with a beat up fence post digger to use by hand. Salesman said he was so sorry for my sad situation, did not blame me for being angry, really wanted to build the fence for me, blah, blah, blah. Bottom line is that they have bid jobs low to get lots of work and then cannot deliver the goods. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Their lower bid is not worth the headache and aggravation they will cause you. It is anyone?s guess when they will finish your job. more

They are very unprofessional i have called several times and can not get a date to have my fence installed. They kept telling me i was the next on the list that has now been two weeks, and the next time i called they told me there was now two jobs ahead of me. They do not call you back or try to kept you informed. If i had it two do i would have someone else install my fence that was a little more concerned about it customer. more

Sloppy, horrible work!! Irreparable damage was done to my brand new driveway, and Western Fence refused to fix it and refused to reduce my bill. They slopped cement all over our driveway when putting in the fence posts, and didn't clean it up. It set and dried and now cannot be removed. They came to my house 3 times to try and fix it, but continued to just make it worse. They ruined my area rug that was on the patio. They left my yard damaged and in less that perfect condition, and made us pay full price. They simply did not care - worst workmanship I've ever seen. Clearly, they take no pride in their work. I would not recommend Western Fence to anyone - I would recommend that you go elsewhere!! more

Western Fence just installed a custom Iron fence for me. I am very particular, you could even say picky :) but they took the time and patience to give me exactly what I wanted. They did a beautiful job and not only that they had the best prices in town. The whole process went smooth despite my many changes. Western Fence treated me like family and I would reccommend them to anyone who wants excellent work and great customer service! more

After working with another fenceing company for a couple of weeks trying to get my order completed I was left completely annoyed. By word of mouth I was told to try Western Fence, and I was impressed. I was given a way better price and a way better selection then the ""other guys"" . Now 2 months later my house is complete and I have a beautiful fence around it. more

About a month ago I went to Western Fence to have them add a fence to my yard. I went in they gave me a quote told me it would take about a week. I was a little skeptical sounded to good to be true. Sure enough it was finished on the 6th day. Now my dogs and children have a safer paly area and I owe it to them. I have and will continue to recommend them to friends and family. Be careful if you request an estimate or use Western Fence. They over charge! They have a minimum of $400 labor no matter if it takes them 1 hour to do the work. They are not up front about these charges or their estimate. They tried to get away with damaging my fence and jury rigging it. I would not recommend them for anything other then purchasing parts. However, you can purchase part on the web for cheaper. I found out all of this the hard so I wanted to share this so it doesn't happen again. Cons: High Cost, shotty labor more

Pretty fence, terrible service. This company promised a fence in 10 days and took almost 6 weeks. We had to call them repeatedly. Each time we called (they never called us to explain the next delay) they promised to ""be there tomorrow"". It wasn't until we became angry that they finally completed the work. We heard a similar story from another family in our neighborhood. Would not recommend Western Fence. more
