I have been working with West Shore Realty for over 10 year for renting my residential and commercial properties. Mike, Linda and the rest of the staff have always been professional and helpful with anything I need if it was from maintenance to moving. I also have used Mike to purchase property and found him very knowledgeable at his job. I would highly recommend West Shore Realty. more

Excellent Customer Service!!! 9/12/2011

We recently suffered a hurricane in Milford and the home that my wife and I rented was destroyed as a result. A friend recommended we give West Shore Realty a call and see if they had any rentals. I didn't think this would happen since they were located in an area of Milford that was also hard hit. I called the office to find they were without power, but operating ith generators and cell phones.!!! At any rate, Mike was able to find us a place on a days notice and we were able to move in before Labor Day. Visiting the office, I found Kathy and Sara to be a delight to work with even though they were both dealing with multiple issues from all the homes affected. These guys give a new meaning to multi tasking!!! I can't express my graditude enough to everyone over at West Shore for helping us through this difficult time. Mike, you and your staff were amazing, professional, patience and kind during a difficult time and I can't thank you enough for all your help!!! I would highly recommend this company!!! more

Great Folks to work with - Keep up the good work!!! 9/9/2011

What a great group of people to help you find a home or rental!!! My husband and I were in a pinch to find a rental, my husband had been transferred here to CT and we were under the gun to find a place. We needed to be into a home in less them a week. One call to West Shore and right from the start they were GREAT!!! Between Kathy helping on the phone and connecting us to Mike Tarantino (The owner), who personally drove around with us endlessly in search of the right place. Meeting us early and late in the evening to follow up on details was such a help to us. Mike and the gang at West Shore Realty went above and beyond to help us get into our home. After an exhausting 2 day search, Mike found us a great place, with beautiful views and a reasonable rental amount. I would highly recommend them for all your real estate needs. more

Theee worst 1/20/2011

This is without a doubt one of theee most incompitent companies out there. I was shown a rental in Milford. I liked the unit and wanted to rent it out. After going thru the credit check, which passed, I was told I would know if I would get this unit for rent. The rental agent said that she would def. get back to me by day's end, and that we were approved, but just had to check w/ the owner of the unit. more

Couldn't agree more! 7/20/2009

I couldn't agree more with the other reviewer! My boyfriend rented a ""beach house"" from Westshore a while back as a surprise for my birthday. The surprise was that the entire staff is about as unhelpful as could be. There isn't a single person at Westshore who even remotely wants to be useful. We had to deal with the lateness and unreturned phone calls, too. I wonder if we even rented the same house as whoever wrote the review above. Stay away from Westshore, stay away from answering ads on craigslist for rentals, and save yourself time and aggravation!!!! Pros: Nothing! Cons: Everything! more

Terrible company! 6/3/2009

Very poor communication within the organization. Very poor customer service, never get back to you. Always late with appointments...they were a nightmare to work with! We rented with them for 2 years, always paid our rent ON TIME and they never had any issues with us as tenants. When our lease was up after the first year, we asked to do month to month. Jill Vidal, Property Manager, from West Shore, told us we could do month to month and she would get us a contract. We tried getting the contract for 2 months, calling and asking for it, but she never got back to me, or answer my calls and never wrote a contract up, so we ended up going without a contract for the second year. The condo we were renting was being sold, so we had to move out. We asked Michael Tarantino, the Owner of West Shore, for a contract saying they needed to give us 60 days notice, and he said they were working on it, weeks went by and we received nothing, even after following up a couple of times. We called and left messages for Michael and he never returned our calls. I finally called with attitude and they wrote something for me, it was a whole 2 sentences and took a second to write! I went in to West Shore to fill out a apartment search form with Richard Milewski, Realtor. I had to put my social security number on the form, along with salary and how much we were willing to pay for rent. After doing so, I never received a phone call from Rich with new apartments. 2 weeks later I went in again, and Rich told me that he must have thrown it away, and that I had to fill out another one. I had very important information on that form, how could they be so careless with it?? We scheduled our move out walk through for the 31st at 10:30 - Maureen Leahy showed up, of course 15 min late, as usual - and the dead bolt was locked (we didn't have a key for it because we were never given one) so she told us that someone would be in the office around 11am and he would be able to unlock to door for us and she would call when it was unlocked. We didn't receive a phone call. The next day my husband called to speak with Maureen and left her a message - no call back. I called later that day, they told me that she didn't come in until later in the day (I said, ""It is later in the day"") so then they proceeded to tell me that she was in the office, and to hold on because they went to speak with her. They told me that she wasn't taking phone calls and that I just had to hand in my keys and that they will do the walk through later. I handed in my keys and scheduled a walk through for 9:00am Wed with Maureen?s Manager, Lynda Smith - Tellier. I got to the old condo at 9:00am sharp - 9:15 comes around and no one shows up. I call and they tell me that someone is on their way now and will be there in 10-15 min. 25 min later someone shows up to do the walk through and it was Maureen. I did not receive a call telling me that it wouldn't be Lynda or they were going to be late. They didn't care that I was waiting there 40 min for an appoint I made 2 days ago! No appologies at all! There were many times throughout the 2 years living in that condo, and working with West Shore that they didn't return calls, or I would have to explain myself many times to different people because they don't communicate. Cons: Poor Customer Service, Lack of Communication, Always Late more
