Excellent Doctors 5/10/2010

I've been a patient of Dr. Bridges for many years. She is wonderful--very caring and willing to take time to talk and truly listen to what I have to say. She addresses my concerns and never makes me feel rushed. I've also seen Dr. Waxman when I had an urgent situation and Dr. Bridges was on maternity leave. Dr. Waxman is also a wonderful, caring doctor.\r \r The office staff is polite and professional. Wait times are minimal which is surprising compared to other OB GYN offices I've been to. I highly recommend this practice and most particularly Drs. Bridges and Waxman more

Highly Recommend 2/7/2008

I was a patient at West Augusta OB/GYN from 1994 until 2001. I received excellent care. I always felt like Dr. Byars really listened to me. No question was too "stupid" and I never felt like they rushed me through. He delivered three of my children. While the answering service is not top notch, the doctors are. In the previous review, they mentioned PVC and PAC; these arrhythmias are common. There are many things going on in pregnant woman's body that can influence these arrythmias. I don't know for sure but I bet Dr. Goldsmith reviewed the charts and did not see an emergency. Granted the situation could have been handled better on both sides. The previous reviewer also said that the hospital told her this information and to tell her doctor. Obviously the hospital didn't think it was an emergency either or they would have kept her there.I have always been pleased with the doctors and their office staff. The answering service serves more than this office and are very busy; I more

Was Hung up on 9/2/2005

When pregnant with my daughter, I was told by the hospital that I had PAC and PVC (has to do with an irregular heartbeat) and to call my dr immeadiately. I called when the office opened and left a message for Dr. Goldsmith. Never heard back so I called again. The office had closed. The answering service connected me to the backline and the nurse told me that the on call dr had my information and if he thought is was important he would call me back. I told her that it had something to do with my heart and I was pregnant. She said "If you think it is so important go to the ER! The dr didn't think it was important enough to call you back." And HUNG UP!!! I will never use this office again. PROS: NONE CONS: No compassion or respect. more
