Peter Jackson was very terse with me on more than one occasion. Their pricing for appraisals is exorbitant (many physicians and lawyers I know get paid MUCH less by the hour for the work they provide), and their pricing system for watch cleaning is both exorbitant and is not related to the complexity of the work - it is a function of the sales price of the watch (are the gears in a watch made of gold and diamonds that much harder to clean than a watch made of steel?) After the cleaning, the crown on my Rolex was misaligned and difficult to set/lock down, leading me to believe the service received was of far less value than the price paid. I will be VERY selective in returning to them, and will get my (and my wife's) things cleaned/repaired and appraised elsewhere. Go to Wentworth and Sloan for the highest quality, hard-to-find items; I recommend going elsewhere for nearly everything else.
Pros: Top quality jewelry/gifts, etc.
Cons: jeweler/service staff are rude and over-rated
