There are plenty of places to eat in the food court at Tacoma's funky Freighthouse Square, but the one I enjoy most often is Wendy's -- not to be confused with the burger chain. It's named for Wendy Au, the friendly, unflappable owner. She never breaks a sweat, but manages to serve up a number of tasty dishes, from hot pots to friend rice. It's not the most adventurous Asian food, but it's a bargain. You won't leave hungry, and you'll appreciate that their flavor comes from something other than MSG. It's a good place for vegetarians and carnivores to all be happy.
