Unimpressed 11/26/2010

We went to the Weldon at Parkplace and found it to be one of the worst bait-and-switch places ever. When I complained to a friend at the coffee shop nearby he said they were famous in Spokane for being sleezy operators. Wish I'd known before more

Amazing hair cuts, Friendly, knowledgable and hot staff. 9/7/2010

Weldon Barber. Being a man i never really valued a good haircut. I have spent my entire life getting the "super cut" what i never realized was that what i was getting was no super cut, it was always inconsistent and each time i went i had a new barber that i had to "train" how to cut my hair again all over. I decided to give a real barber shop a try. I didn't want one of those frew frew girly shops, i am a guy after all. I wanted to go to a place that was fun and catered to men. I gave Weldon barber in Kirkland a try for the first time 8 months ago. My first and only Barber is Elicia L. If you want the best you go to her. Elicia is a perky happy and damn smart barber, in addition Elicia is a hot barber and she is an American Crew trainer/teacher which basically means she knows how to cut hair and more specifically men's hair and finally she is a senior barber. Its all that when added up that make Elicia the best barber i could ask for. My first experience with Elicia yielded the best haircut i have had in my 26 years of getting "super cuts", but what was the real surprise was when i went back 4 weeks later, she not only remembered me but she knew exactly what to do to my hair again to make it look like it had 4 weeks prior, wait for it... With out me having to train her again. Over all i am now a Weldon Barber customer for life. I only wish there was some sort of lifetime membership program :) more

Great Atmosphere, Great Service, and Great Barber! 2/22/2010

Who would have thought a haircut and a shave could make life so great? I do now! I have been going to see Meghan for quite a while now and I look forward to my experience every time. I have always been that type to get my haircut at different places, but once I got my haircut by Meghan at Weldon it was a different story. It is a very modern, upscale barber shop which suits today's businessman. Meghan is a very talented barber and it is quite obvious that she brightens up the entire barber shop just by her presence. Bottomline, great atmosphere, great service, great barber! Pros: talent of barbers, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service Cons: Pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. more

Great Haircuts, Great Stylists - Just for Men! 12/25/2009

#1 - Meghan has been my barber for several months and I've never been happier with my cut (and neither has my girlfriend). Meghan is skilled, funny, personable and seems to intuitively know when I just want yak or not talk and just enjoy the experience. She's also a babe, which doesn't hurt (and what is it that Weldon barbers are all babes? Not complaining, mind you). And they all seem pretty skilled, though some have more interesting personalities than others. For example, outside of Meghan another barber there named "E" (not sure her full name - that's what Meghan calls her) seems pretty interesting. She too is a great barber, witty, funny... and a looker as well. And my Weldon cuts have always been a great haircutting experience every time. From the hot towels to the final touch-up -- I've gotta tell you -- once you've been to Weldon's, you'll never go back to Supercuts or unconfortably sit in a salon designed for women. Weldon is designed for us guys from top to bottom and I'm a fan for life, unless someone majorly screws up. 'Nuff said. * = on the "Cons" I had to wrack my brains for something negative to say and that was the best I could come up with. Look, I'm a critical guy who likes things a certain way and Weldon, just simply does most things right. Pros: great cuts, skilled barbers, total pros & just for men Cons: follow-ups could be better* more

Extremely Satisfied 12/7/2009

Meghan does an outstanding job and I've been extremely satisfied with the result. I've had the Signature cut 3 times and will be back. Paid a lot more for a men's haircut and gotten much less. Meghan rocks! Pros: quality job, professional, friendly more

Great Cuts! 11/5/2009

Had the Signature with both Brittany & Elicia on separate occasions. Both did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend them and the services they performed. Pros: Relaxing experience; Taking time to understand what you want Cons: None more

The Best Haircuts in Town =) 7/25/2009

Hi! My name is Elicia. I have been with Weldon for almost 5 years now, and I now am settled in our Kirkland location. =) I am a senior barber, meaning I am the most requested barber in my shop & my prices are $5 more than the other barbers. So, all this talk of turnover, let me explain. At Weldon, we have VERY high standards and expectations. If your not cutting it, after mass coaching, there is not much for us to do but to move on. Not only do the employees have to be great to our clients, provide an amazing experience, give great haircuts, but they also have to be great team players. Yes, we made new rules, but it was only to raise the bar, setting high standards and to better our company. There is NOTHING wrong with that. Weldon is an amazing company!!!! I love it & plan on retiring with Weldon. Brittney in my shop has been there for almost a year and a half now & let me tell you, she rocks!!! Meghan is our newby & employee of the month & cause she is awesome!!! All of the girls in my shop rock. We FINALLY have an amazing team!!!! Trust me, if you come to Weldon in Kirkland, you will not be disappointed. I guarantee that! So come on down to park place & get the Signature, it will be your 30 minute vacation =) See ya soon!! Pros: Great, friendly, experienced & educated staff =) Cons: High standards, so sometimes there is some turnover... more

if not broke dont fix it 7/12/2009

i worked at weldon barber for a year and at the beginning i really enjoyed working there. It felt like the company cared how their employees were being treated. 6 moths went by and everything started changing and for the worst. They were bring in new management and changing everything that was already working. Treating us like they did not care. It was ridiculous everyone was leaving because every week they would come in with new rules and things we had to do. It was no longer fun coming into work never knowing what was going to change next. From what i hear now they have a whole new staff everyone that once use to be there has now left, but dont get comfortable with any of the new girls they will soon be gone too at the rate weldon is going!!! My advice go somewhere else anywhere is better than there!!! Pros: meet some nice customers Cons: dont care about their employees more

Spendy for an OK haircut 1/5/2009

If you get the signature you will probably be dissapointed. The haircuts are ok. Attitude from some of the staff is great but they have HIGH turnover (the boss is apparently nutso). If you get the gal that gives you a "good cut" stay with her. But unfortunately she won't be there long.... So final word "the price doesnt match the experience"! Pros: Nice store, well decorated, easy parking Cons: staff changes all the time, price is excessive for what you get more

IT'S OKAY 9/22/2008

JUST SHUT UP AND CUT THE DAMN HAIR.YOU PEOPLE TALK TOOO MUCH ABOUT UNIMPORTANT STUFF..?????????????? more

Great Customer Service 7/17/2008

Weldon is awesome I am a frequent customer in the Spokane area, they completely accomodated a large group I brought to the Kirkland store for a pre wedding face shave. I called the day before, they made sure they had extra stylists in early to take care of our needs. 8 face shaves and about 4 hair cuts early in the morning with an appointment made the day before should have been a headache for their staff....but they came through nicely. My stylist made a point to listen to my concerns (trying to avoid razor burn..sensitive skin) and talked me through the process and explained everything that she was doing or going to do. I found it a treat to be taken care of even though I am not a regular customer at the Kirkland store Nice work Pros: highly accomodating staff more

Weldon, as unprofessional as it gets 5/28/2008

I recently visited Weldon Barber to get a hair cut. The serivce I had was good but the lack of proessionalism was my concern. While I was in the chair I couldn't help but to over hear the Barber in the station next to mine. All she was talking about was getting "wasted" last weekend. She then proceded to talk about other employees and work issues with her client. I later found out she is the District Manager that also cuts hair from time to time. I was completely appalled at her choices of conversations and vulger language. I understand now why everytime I have come to Weldon's I have never had the same Barber twice. If I had to hear her talk like that all the time I would quit too. The service was great but I probably won't return again. I come to get a hair cut, not to hear office gossip. more

Skip Weldon and find a regular Barber 5/28/2008

I really wanted to like Weldon. They had been included in a write up in the Seattle Times, and are close to my work. Upon arriving, I waited at the front counter for over 10 minutes without being greeted by anyone. The haircut itself was below par (could have gotten better at SuperCuts) and the experience in general was very pedestrian. I'd sprung for their Signature cut which included a neck shave, scalp massage and grooming. I received only a two minute massage, and no grooming. Worst of all, the lighting was poor and when I got back to work I saw all the places she'd missed! I should have saved myself the $38.00 and gone to a regular barber. Pros: They were able to get me in right away. Cons: Lousy hair cut, too expensive, didn't provide all the services promised. more

Bad experience 5/12/2008

I just left the shop and am truly disappointed. The shop is nicely appointed and excellent male oriented atmosphere. I enjoyed the hot towels but the basic reason I went was to get a superior hair cut -which I did not get!. I think the barber must have just gotten out of pet grooming school. I have gotten many better cuts at Great Clips for half the price. I'll probably have to go to another shop just to have this terrible effort fixed- Save $25 and go to Regis or Great Clips! Pros: Ambiance Cons: poorly trained, poor value more

Great service and deal 10/30/2006

Having tried one other upscale barber shop I was interested to compare to this one. I thought Weldon's won hands down. While I would have prefered coffee in a mug and not starbucks in a paper cup, it's always nice to have coffee and water. The waiting area was comfortable with flatscreen tvs and a nice selection of men's reading, I wish they weren't so prompt so I could enjoy it more! I had great service and really felt like I was taken care of. The attractive stylist chatted without being overly talkative. The hot towels during the shampoo were excellent. The head massage and neck massage were a nice way to relax. I really appreciated the post haircut washing to remove the clippings, I've never experienced that but it should be done everywhere . I felt like the stylist took her time cutting my hair and was very detailed and patient. It was a long haircut, but it felt so nice to relax. Pros: Excellent haircut, patient stylist, decor Cons: Coffee more
