I'd been hearing about Waterfront for a long time but never made it here. Turns out I've been missing out,...

Great Dining Experience 2/22/2007

From the moment you drive to the front door, the restaurant treats you to a wonderful experience. A terrific decor, valet parking, friendly servers, and attentive staff & management make for a great evening. They have a complete wine list and liquor list - including rare and expensive cognacs and scotches. They also have excellent local wines and you may happen to meet some of the winemakers here as well! The Seafood Bacchanalia is a nice mix of crab, lobster, fish, shrimp, etc. For the price, the food is good, but not the best. It's the experience here that really rounds out the restaurant, though. They do have several excellent appetizers, though, like the lobster bisque and the specialty salads. I also like their lamb; better beef steaks can be had elsewhere for the price. Dessert is excellent. Great restaurant. more

Beautiful venue for very special events 11/8/2006

When it became my duty to plan my organization's 10th anniversary dinner, I chose the Waterfront Seafood Grill. It was a fantastic evening. To start, this is one of the most elegant locations in all of Seattle. The restaurant is built right on Pier 70 so the views are incredible no matter what time of day or night. The WSG takes advantage of the views with an expansive deck that runs the length of the pier. We staged our program out on the deck and continued inside for our meal. And it was quite the dining experience. We had a Scallop and Halibut combo that got raves. For the vegetarians they did a veggie vol-au-vent which was one of the best veggie options I have sampled. For dessert, there was a trio of heavenly bites. The Waterfront also has several special touches, like live piano music and an extra bar outside at no extra cost, which really added to our event. But most importantly, the service was a cut above. Corine, the private dining manager, was wonderful to work with. I could tell she actually cared about the success of our event and had really helpful suggestions all along the way. On the big night, the service was also fantastic. I had so much help with setup and each guest was treated with respect and I barely had to lift a finger all night. I've done lots of events at lots of venues and this one has earned my highest recommendation. The food and beverage minimums can be high, but if you look at their regular menu you'll see why. It is not your average catering for your average event. They offer excellence and you get every single cent's worth. more

Umm, their table is on fire 3/12/2006

My wife and I went to the Waterfront Seafood Grill a while back, and I remember thinking that everything they served was delicious. Especially the side of corn. I had no idea that corn could taste so good! The place is a bit expensive, so it's really more of a special occasion restaurant for us. The highlight of my evening was when our waiter brought by the dessert menu, and recommended some sort of flaming dessert, and said we would probably see one being served. He left us to decide. Sure enough, a table near us had just ordered this. We watched as the waitress served it and put on the show that accompanies it. Just as our waiter showed up and asked if we had decided, I looked over at the other table, and said to our waiter 'Umm, their table is on fire'. He laughed and glanced over. Then he stopped laughing. The server had indeed set the table on fire. In her panic, she then swept hot embers into the lap of one of the ladies at the table. Our server rushed over to help out, and then walked the other server away. It was quite a show! I would have given them 4 stars, but the bonus fire show really pushed it up a notch. more
