Best

Wasabi has some of the best rolls i've ever had...highly recommend volcano and rock star rolls. I prefer to sit at the bar. The bartenders are very friendly and provide great se...

Three of us went to WB for lunch today and were deeply saddened by the fact that the mighty has fallen. Here is a run-down of the experience:

Kind of like fushion sushi 2/24/2010

Came here for dinner w/ a friend and ordered a couple of rolls and appetizers. Food was quite good, albeit a little on the pricier side. The ahi tuna with the deep fried wonton skins was very yummy though. And I LOVED the ice cream mochi! more

simply the best! more

God I love this place 7/31/2008

Whenever anyone I know want sushi, I alway think of Wasabi to go to. I just love the atmosphere, food, special happy hours, green decadence roll, and more. I also can usually find parking close by, but it could be my parking karma? more

Wasabi Bistro Lunches are Hot. 8/25/2006

While Wasabi Bistro is a great place for after work nibbles or dinner, I like it the very best at lunchtime. Why? Their lunch menu is very reasonable price-wise (relative to the dinner menu, anyway). Order a bowl of Edamame for starters and one of their combination lunch plates. You'll walk out with a smile on your face. more

Wasabi Bistro is Sushilicous! 7/26/2006

I've been here twice now, once for dinner and again for lunch, both times were great. I think it might be the extensive menu that will keep me coming back - they have so many different and creative sushi rolls with names like "mango tango roll", "Godzilla roll", and "belltown roll" - I have yet to have a roll that doesn't satisfy my sushi needs! I think they have over 30 rolls listed on their menu - and they all look amazing so I'll be back again for sure. If you are tired of seeing the same rolls over and over again you need to check this place out - I promise you will not be disappointed! Something to keep in mind however is that my sushi standards are probably not that high - I frequent Blue C Sushi a lot - so this was definitely a step up for me! more

Happy Hour goodness 3/9/2006

Wasabi Bistro is where you order a glass of house red for $3 and get a full pour. No kidding! Honestly, I didn't even eat, but my friends did, and seemed to enjoy it. It wasn't crowded, which I enjoyed, and the service was good. Definitely a good place meet up with friends after work. more

creative but service is only average 11/20/2005

totally agree with previous reviewers about service. food is pretty good and reasonably priced -- service is a bit snooty given that we're not in manhattan. more

A bit too cool 10/4/2005

I've now been to Wasabi Bistro twice. They have great sushi, creative rolls and a good sake selection. It is a fun place to go with groups and is popular but rarely overcrowded. The only downside with the place is that I think it is too cool for me. The staff have a NYC air of self-importance, which works in NY, but not in Seattle. On one visit our table was lightly chastised by our waitress for setting the as yet unpaid bill down on the table (rather than leaving it upright). Small detail, but it characterized my experiences well. more

Best Sushi in town! 8/28/2005

I crave Wasabi's Sushi, it is sooo yummy! The menu has all of the favorites plus many creative fabulous selections! Also has a great atmosphere! more

Good food but TERRIBLE service experience 8/23/2005

My husband and I used to eat at Wasabi Bistro for lunch quite often. When I needed a large takeout order of sushi for a work event, I immediately thought of them. While there for lunch, I asked to speak to the manager on duty. I asked her if they would be able to provide a large takeout order that would be picked up at 4:30pm. She said of course, just call us about 1 1/2 hours ahead the day you need it. The day of the work event, I called at 3pm to put in my order. The same manager I spoke to in person takes my call. I tried to give her my order and am told that the sushi chef is not there until 5pm, so I won't be able to pick up my order until 6:30. This will not work at all for the event we have planned. I ask her if this is always the case, and she replies yes. I ask her why she told me that they would be able to have our order ready for us at 4:30pm when I asked her in person. This is where she completely lost me as a customer. She proceeded to tell me that she NEVER would have told me that they could have an order ready at 4:30 and that no one there would. I told her that she had and that my husband was standing right next to me and heard it as well. At this point, she pretty much told me I was a liar and there was nothing she was going to do to help me. I asked her if she knew of any sushi restaurants nearby that would be able to get me my order and she flatly said no. I finally ended up at Sam's Sushi on lower Queen Anne, who was able to put together a large order at the last minute. Despite the tasty food, I will never eat there again. There are some many points that the manager could have saved the situation - maybe an apology? - but instead she decided to extremely rude. more

bored of regular sushi? this one has a twist 7/31/2005

I definitely give this restaurant a thumbs up. I do have to say that, as far as traditional sushi goes, I've had better (hence the 3 stars), but Wasabi Bistro still ranks above average - plus, it comes with a fun twist. If you're tired of regular California maki and spicy tuna, the rolls at this place will be a fun change. They still use mostly traditional ingredients, but these come in new combinations and flavors - it's like fusion sushi. The tigertail roll was our favorite. On a warm summer evening, try to snag a table outside. more

Belltown Sushi 7/29/2005

Wasabi Bistro is great sushi and a nice atmosphere at happy hour especially. Good prices. Sometimes there's even live music, usually strings, cello, violin, etc. more

Go for the decadence 6/30/2005

I definitely have to agree that the decadence roll is incredible. Avacado and tempura asparagus with a wasabi aioli. It has kept me coming back and trying new things, hoping that it's taste will be matched by something else. I finally learned to stick with what works, though the Seattle roll also is quite good. The green tea tiramisu is a bit much for a purist like me. Unfortunately, the decadence roll isn't on their half-price happy hour menu, but it's worth it anyway. more

Chef's special 4/5/2005

Okay, I admit this isn't the best sushi in town, nor is the ambience anything to write home about, but it is a fun environment and the sushi is above average and affordable so I have three suggestions: 1) Chef's special; order your rice on the side and four people will have a great selection of sashimi and eat very well for $30! 2) Decadence roll, a yummy taste explosion. Seriously, try it, you will not be disappointed! 3) Oh and a bonus, since I am a self proclaimed Bloody Mary connoisseur, try the wasabi bloody, yum yum yum! more
