MY DOG DIED AFTER A ROUTINE DENTAL CLEANING AT WARNER VISTA ANIMAL HOSPITAL. I will try to make a tragic story as short as possible. Preliminary blood work prior to cleaning reflected a lower-than-normal white blood cell count probably due to an allergy medicine prescribed by Dr. Carr. I was not informed and the office proceeded with the dental cleaning. That night she was quite ill and I returned to the office the next morning where it was explained to me that there are ?diva dogs? that take a longer time to recover from anesthesia and to force her to get some exercise. (She couldn?t even walk!!) Her condition worsened. The following morning I rushed her to Emergency Animal Clinic where they tried valiantly to save her life. $2500 and later that night, my precious girl was gone. They explained that she must have aspirated during her dental procedure and because of her low white blood cell count and no antibiotics, she was not able to fight off any infection and it quickly turned into sepsis. Now I do not know what caused her to aspirate during the dental cleaning but I do know that because of Warner Vista?s procedures and Dr. Carr?s negligence, my beloved dog is gone. I received no condolences from Warner Vista and they have refused to pay for the medical bills. more

I Love Warner Vista Animal Hospital 10/23/2012

I can always count on the doctors at Warner Vista Animal Hospital. They often get me in same day when there is a serious issue with one of my dogs. I never have to worry about being charged too much or for unnecessary things. They are up front about the costs, what is crucial vs. might be a good idea vs. not needed. My dogs have seen all of the doctors at one time or another, and I recommend them all. I love that I can get medications from that office as well. I would continue to use Warner Vista Animal Hospital even if I moved. more

lack of knowledge 8/26/2012

The vet never talked to let me know her levels until I asked him to please read the results from the lab to me, he didnt even understand the results and told me he thought I should know just by giving me the results...... really I said I dont even know what lab you use and different labs have different calibrations. They have no problem charging for these test but they have no knowledge on the results. I do not recomend this facility and think they need to take some continuing education classes before they treat any more animals. more

Uninformed 2/24/2011

We took our dog on 1/6 and he was diagnosed with partial laryngeal paralysis. The vet informed us that as long as we did not let him get overheated, he would be fine. They stated that there is a surgery, but it was not recommended or necessary. 1 month later (to the day), our dog suffocated to death. We felt blindsided by the lack of information provided to us. While difficult to predict, we felt uneducated and that we missed the opportunity to make an informed decision regarding our dogs health. more

Cooper in the Sun 12/31/2010

Dr Carr is a very sensitive guy when it comes to my dogs. ( I am not sure how much he would like me saying that) I had taken one of my dogs to another vet and had her spayed and they nicked her spleen in the process. So I switched to Warner Vista. I have been with them ever since mostly because of Dr Carr and his professionalism and knowledge. He is a great asset to this pet hospital. I would highly recommend him and would follow him if he were to ever leave!!! He made me feel at ease when my dog cooper had to have a procedure to remove spots on his leg that I was concerned about and he has never steered me wrong by charging or coming up with silly things just to make money he is very honest. The prices are very fitting for what they do. I appreciate Warner Vista and the care they have shown my 2 dogs!!! more

Great Vet in the East Valley 11/22/2010

We have 3 current dogs and had two that are now deceased. All our dogs have all been treated since we got them by these vets. We've had nothing but positive experiences including an emergency visit. The patient friendly and have a good manner with dogs. more

Not recommended. 11/2/2010

The office is clean and the staff is friend, but the Vet does not know how to communicate. I brought my dog in for booster shots, and bad breath. They treated the dog, but I'm uncertain how the dog was diagnoised with tick fever. The vet at an emergency hospital did not believe the dog had tick fever and the vet at Warner Vista didn't communicate clearly what testing was performed to arrive at that conclusion. I do not recommend this location. more

Great veterinarian!! 10/9/2010

I had my first visit today at Warner Vista Animal Hospital. The office staff was friendly, polite and very accommodating since I have a dog aggressive dog. I waited in the exam room for just a couple min before I was greeted by Dr. Carr. Dr. Carr was personable, friendly and did not rush during the exam. He took his time to explain to me all that I needed and answered my multiple questions about my senior dog, He is knowledgeable and has a genuine love for the animals that he treats. I used to have a vet in Texas that was honest and genuine and not the kind where you think you are being lead to have things done that you don't need (like a bad car mechanic) and I am so happy to have found that again in Dr. Carr. Thank you so much for being one of the "good ones", I appreciate you. I would recommend anyone to use Dr. Carr, you will be happy with him and his staff.\r \r *** On a side note*** Linda Montgomery- the independent groomer that is attached to this vet clinic is unprofes more

Be conversational: Write as if relaying your experience to a good friend. Be thorough: Mention your favorite products or services offered by this business, such as menu items, home delivery or spa treatments. Awful! 7/16/2010

I would not recommend this vet to anyone! The vet does not know customer service and has no answers! The receptionist yelled at me and started utilizing curse words because of the questions I had about my bill, which was many additional charges for stuff that was never performed. the vet who owns the place came out and defended his staff vs apologize. Then I was forced to get out of there without paying because of the hostile situation, and then they send me a bill with interest on it! I left four messages finally get a return call two months later, from the vet who has no answers still! more

Good Staff 3/26/2009

I have never had to take my bunnies into this Veterinarian, but I was referred to them by East Valley Bunny Rescue because I was in a bind as far as looking for a pet sitter. Someone at the rescue suggest I give them a call because some of their Vet Techs pet sit for extra cash. I called and gave them a try. I was pleased with the girl, whose name I forgot and I feel bad about that, who bunnysat for me when I had to go out of town. My bunny seemed well taken care of and she was nice enough to let me call her and check in on her. I would recommend giving them a try if you need a Vet and nice staff. more

Great Place For Your Family Pet 6/11/2008

We just recently found a puppy out near South Mountain (well she found us) and wanted to switch to a closer vet. We found this place and decided to give it a try, and after our first visit we decided to make it our primary vet. They have a loving and caring staff and the Dr. is very patient and willing to answer any questions you have. We just recently had our dog spayed at their facility and the procedure went very well and they were much cheaper than our previous vet and also held onto our dog longer before we picked her up to make sure she was conscious and could tell what was going on around her. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone living in the area. more
