I have been a modeler for over 65 years and the Folks at W&P always treated me great and were very helpful in many ways. I ultimately earned an automatic 10% discount for being a good customer. It's sad to see Hobby Shops disappear which they all are very quickly. Thanks for all your help through the years! more

Unfortunately, War & Pieces has gone out of business, thanks to a greedy landlord that jacked up rents so high as to eliminate any small margin of profit they made. War & Pieces was in business for nearly 40 years, and was a wonderful hobby shop for the model builder, rocketry buff and collector. The staff as always helpful and knowledgable because they participated in the hobby and loved it. THEY WILL BE MISSED! War & pieces was struggling against the forces of higher rents, lower margins and discount internet hobby shops...but they were making it until this latest landlord came through. Its a real shame! more

Local hobby and collectible shop 8/21/2005

War and peices is a great local shop for hobbiysts. They have alot of stuff for model trains. They also have a large selection of model rockets. They have puzzles and model cars as well. They also have all the little things a hobbyist would need like glue and knives. Reasonable prices and friendly staff with alot of knowledge. more

Great place for all your modelling needs 8/21/2005

They have all the types of models you can find, from war to people. Also sell cards such as Magic and Star Wars. They are a bit weird in there which is probably good because people that still build models are a little weird. They also have some japananimation films in there too. They love what they do and it shows, they know all about models and have all the things you need to make a model. Go here because they have metered spots right out front that you can usually get a spot. more

Hobby Shop 8/16/2005

My fiancées father builds model ships (replicas of great war ship of the past) as a hobby, and this is a great place to shop for supplies for him. Even though I don’t know much about it, the store’s staff is always willing to talk me through and help me figure out what I am looking for. more
