We had received menus for Wang's Kitchen, delivered to our home twice, and had been eagerly looking forward to eating there. Today we tried eating in at Wang's on Creedmoor Road. But we were extremely disappointed. I just could not recommend Wang's for dine-in. (Take-out MIGHT be okay, judging from other reviews I read -- but WE will certainly never order take-out from them!) The place (floor, tables, window-sills, etc.) was dirty, our table sticky and with food particles on it. Cleaning supplies (Windex and rags) were there in dining area; somebody ought to USE them! We did not believe the posted inspection score of 95.5 -- probably deserved only 85.5 today. 2 tables were occupied by people who apparently worked there. One was preparing food out in the eating area! The other was reading a newspaper. Their chairs crowded ours. When we ordered, cashier was indifferent to point of surliness. Didn't ask us if we wanted drinks, so our meal was dry. Required us to pay (and provide a tip on the credit-card form) at the time we ordered, which was BEFORE we had received any food. The waiter did not bring us any utensils with food, jerked his thumb to the counter where plastic forks and napkins were located; we had to get them ourselves. Paper napkins were SOOO tiny! We arrived 3pm, which may explain why the egg-roll was dry, apparently re-cycled from the lunch hour -- it was inedible, and seemed to be made of nearly all cabbage. The spicy beef I had was hot, the accompanying rice was barely warm. Taste was maybe 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. Service was nearly non-existent, but give it 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. My wife and I were sorely disappointed with Wang's, and will never go there, or order from them, in the future. I can heartily recommend the Red Dragon restaurant on Fairview Street in Raleigh. It's small, but clean, they act as if they really WANT you there, food is fantastic, and prices are, too.
Pros: None, for eating there.
Cons: Dirty, bad service, food so-so.
