Perfect Break from Long Lines 7/17/2002

I have to say that Blizzard Beach was the perfect break in a week of walking in the hot sun and standing in endless lines. After full days at other Disney and Universal parks, it is a great geeling to just lay in the sun or float down a lazy river for hours. The slides are a blast too. They have everything from individual races to rafts that hold the whole family as you streak down. I doubt I would go here if I only had a day or 2 in Orlando because there are much better parks, but if you are doing a week of park-hopping I would definitely recommend taking a vacation from your vacation and stopping here for a day. Our family found Blizzard Beach the least attractive of all of the parks in Disney World. Although we were excited about going there, by the time we arrived at 11:00am there were no lounge chairs available, so we had no comfortable place to put down at. My kids did enjoy the wave pool, but there was no place to relax for adults as the area around the pool was packed, it kind of felt like a day at the Jersey shore. We ended up leaving in a sort while and felt like that we wanted to relax and have some fun in the water, we would have been better off staying by the pool at the resort. Pros: Water Rides Cons: Very Crowded more
