One star is flattering for this company! I left a horrible review on Yelp and I am leaving one here! I have lived in this city for over fifteen years and never have I ever had to write a bloody scathing review. My experience with Aaron, the owner of Waiters On The Run has been nothing but a waste of time and an embarrassment. I was not happy with the service the evening I used his wait staff. I called him immediately after the party and he was not at the least bit apologetic. He was nasty and unwilling to listen. When I asked for a portion of my money back, he threatened to sue me. Apparently, this whack job has a numerous lawsuits pending. If anything, I feel sorry for the chap. more

they saved the evening for me! 1/17/2011

I attended a house party last summer, and was very impressed with the ""waiters on the run"" who worked the, for my recent event, i decided to get that extra helping hand, and it was the BEST decision i could have made! He totally SAVED me! Aaron (i guess he is the owner, who arranged for the waiter) interviewed me thouroughly to make sure that my expectations would be properly met. At first, i thought that perhaps he was just trying to get me to use more waiters than i needed, but he explained that several times in the past, people didnt give him the right representation of their event, and they ended up being disappointed because they really should have hired more waiters. truth be told- i probably could have used a second waiter, since 5 people that were supposed to show up before the event to help me got hung up, and i was left without all that help! Mauritzio showed up and was like he was sent from the heavens! This guy just took control of the situation and did the work of 5 people. I never expected him to have to chop veggies for crudite and make cheese platters, etc, but he did it all so quickly and efficiently (and beautifully) All through the evening he hustled around and kept everyone's glasses full, kept the food table tidy and replenished, helped to answer the door, so i didnt have to be interrupted every 5 minutes. He was amazing. Absolutely professional, efficient, and knew exactly how to take charge of the situation. Because of him, i was able to enjoy my own party. I would highly recommend their services, and would recommend that you listen to Aaron, regarding how many waiters you need! more

Great, Great service! 1/10/2011

I hosted a cocktail party just yesterday, with three servers from Waiters on the Run. They were not just terrific; they were outstanding! They were polite, professional and totally attentive at all times to me and to my guests. And, at the end of the evening, there was not a crumb to be found anywhere!! I would give them a very enthusiastic thumbs-up!! more

DON'T DO IT! DON'T DO IT! DON'T DO IT! 12/13/2010

INCOMPETENT from the top down. Owner, Aaaron, is just about the worst business person in the industry and with no standards, it is very difficult to get good people to work for you. Therefore you never know who will show up at your event. He will take no responsibility for those who 'work' for him', good or bad. He cheats clients and employees alike. You are guaranteed nothing. DO NOT waste your money hiring this very un-professional company. more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! 11/22/2010

Really bad experience more

Always reliable and great service 10/29/2010

We've used Waiters on the Run for a number of events over the past year, generally parties for 20-50 with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The waiters are always on time or early, always tidy in appearance, very polite, act appropriately, and never fail to tidy things up so that it looks like no one was ever there. Rates are reasonable and Aaron (the owner of the company) responds promptly and can arrange for service on short notice. We'll go back to them again and again. more

Waiters on the Run - Great service!! 10/27/2010

I have been in the event industry for over 12 years in NYC and have entertained in my own home for 30 plus people. Erin from Waiters on the Run has always provided me with the best staff. They are always very professional and very flexible with whatever our needs are. After being in the event industry I have had the chance to work with MANY top catering companies in NYC. Comparing the staff at Waiters on the Run to the industry they are really top notch! Thank you for always providing an outstanding service. more

really bad experience 8/25/2010

This review has three sections: cheating and underperforming waiters provided by the company, the bizarre conduct of the owner/manager, and some final thoughts on why the company's name ""Waiters on the Run"" is befitting. We asked for three waiters for our wedding and wrote up instructions for them what to do during the reception. They failed to do what they where asked for. For example, they used only 7 out of 17 chafing dishes and simply served some of the food cold. Two of the waiters were nice but the third one was in a really bad mood. When she served the buffet food she looked as if she is reluctant to give any. I felt like I was in school cafeteria again with the grumpy old cook behind the counter. Finally, the waiters put out a tipping jar without asking me and despite the agreement with the manager that I will personally tip them at the end of the night. I did not see the jar because I was greeting the guests but I was told about it the next day by some friends.I felt cheated because I gave them a good tip when the evening was over. I was mad as hell. After the event I tried to reach the owner/manager, Aaron, but without success. I left messages on his answering machine for three days with no reply although the machine says they will call back in 15 minutes. Finally, he calls me and I tell him about the cheating waiters and instead of apologizing he starts giving excuses. I tell him I want my tip back because the waiters in effect collected two tips. The guy becomes hysterical, shouting with his voice breaking that it's my fault I did not control the waiters and that I should leave more detailed messages on the answering machine. I have never experienced such customer service before in my life! It was bizarre. I was upset and laughing at the same time! Finally, I think Aaron picked the name ""Waiters on the Run"" for a reason. The company does not have an email address so I had to call them. When I first called he did not introduce himself/company. When I asked if I got the right phone number he became suspicious and asked ""Who wants to know?"" Later he told me that people mistakenly call for a different company. I chose to do business with them anyway because they were listed in a Time Out New York article. Now I think the name suits him because he is being chased by angry clients and workers. See a review by a disgruntled employee on this site. I also think the company does not have an email address so they don't leave any written statements of agreements. If you choose this company despite the story you've just read: Good luck! P.S. If anybody was wondering, I didn't get my tip money back. more

Avoid Waiters on the run 9/5/2008

I wouldn't recomend this company, the owner Aaron Armijo does not know how to treat his clients and staff. He is a mean person who also treats his staff really bad. He has his own rules so that he always win over the waiters. He deduct money from the checks when he think the waiter has done something wrong, which is illegal. He takes months to paid his staff and always holds money from them until they show proof of legal status. He hire illegals and after they have work for a while he wont pay them. This compny is doing illegals stuff. Dont use waiters on the run. Pros: No pros Cons: All cons you can find more

Great waiter service ""waiters on the run"" in New York 8/29/2007

I hired ""waiters on the run"" for our wedding party - we were around 40 people and had a rather difficult to juggle schedule (picnic in the park, moving to a after-party location with lots of food and drinks, hot summer day, 6 flights of stairs, stressed out bride etc ) Pros: professional, dedicated, reliable. offers full service package and individual help. more
